Michael Savage: Left-Winger
Copyright 2006 The American Spectator ^ | Friday, October 27, 2006 @ 8:36:18 PM | Posted By: Hunter Baker

I've always known there was something wrong with Michael Savage's schtick. It's intolerable. He talks like an absolute madman. He is just about as intemperate as you can get and still be on the radio.

Now I know what was wrong. The whole thing is a put-on:

Supporting a candidate out of your own wallet may be the most accurate gauge of what a donor believes in his heart. So it should come as a shock to fans to learn where their hero distributes his own political gifts. Which are not ungenerous. Just ask Jerry Brown, the decidedly liberal candidate (pro-abortion, pro-gun control, etc.) for California attorney general.

As the San Francisco Chronicle reports, Savage is a top contributor to Brown's campaign against conservative state senator Chuck Poochigian. His gift of $5,600, the maximum allowable under state law, was merited, Savage told the Chronicle after being outed. Why? Because "You have to make choices in an imperfect world."

RIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGHHHTTTTT.

"If he's also a complete phony that only makes him marginally worse IM(notso)HO"

He must be doing something right. he's the third largest show in the country.

And go ahead and insult his millions of listeners, they vote too.
And may i remind you that the GOP is not worried about your vote.
They will get your vote regardless of what they do.
The listeners of Savage nation is what the GOP is going after.
They are the independent conservatives that the GOP will need.
They have already got your vote and they know it.

Savage is shilling for the left.

You need to go back to street preaching. You are obviously not a listener of the Savage show, just a Levin shill.

...the ol' Nazi comparison, eh? The second you invoke that canard you lose the argument...America can NEVER become a Nazi Germany...never. Our constitution, our history, our traditions; in is NOT in the American people.

Peddle THAT Nazi tripe elsewhere.

Peddle THAT Nazi tripe elsewhere.

Thanks for the advice, Captain N00bie.

I've been peddling this and that here for years before you ever heard of the place.

So it is with the utmost respect and adoration that I heed your advice.

Scroll up and read the article again, assuming that you did.

I read it. As I said, it is superficial tripe. But I find YOUR continued inability to form a cogent argument of you OWN very amusing and not terribly surprising. Dude.

No attack on "Hush Bimbo"? No attack on "Vanity"?

What does his competitive insults have to do with his positions? How do they make him a "left-winger" as the ignoramus who wrote this article asserts?

According to the Wikipedia article Savage wanted to be a comedian in the model of Lenny Bruce.

What exactly does Savage advocate that isn't conservative?

How about Jerry Brown?

not sure if have listened to him very long or not, but before election he says things like democrats and republicans are the same what the point in even voting, i heard him say this before 2002 and 2004 elections repeatedly 2-3 weeks before elections.

LOL! Oh well you might as well include the 2006 elections too because I heard him say the same thing just recently, however you need to keep it in context as it is usually related more to his frustration to what the Republicans are or are not doing more than to a promotion of anything Democrat OVER anything Republican and he makes that statement knowing his audience's disdain for anything Democrat.

However that's a long shot from actually advocating voting FOR a Democrat OVER a Republican in essence their ideals over our ideals and the discerning Savage listener knows this, and again the Brown donation is in no way altering the conservative/liberal landscape and it doesn't make sense to me why he would do it, but because of this Savage now a left-winger? The author of this piece is on crack!

Savage gives the liberals an easy target, thats the point of him. get it?

I stopped listening to his show after the 2004 election so i cant comment on the newer stuff(i listened to him the other day for about 15 minutes just to see what was saying, and it was more BS, you know him thinking that he is a General)

Maybe this is Mike's idea of getting a little more attention.

A hit piece about once a month can generate alot of free publicity.

I understand your concern about the border. I share your concern. But, that is a separate issue. However, it seems because our Islamic enemy is not state sponsored, we can't get the Rats on board, like we used to do when fighting a foreign enemy...presenting a united front in congress, politics ending at the shore. So, what do we do to save our country - that I love more than life itself (USAF VN '71)?

The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Remember, in two years we change commander-in-chief...Who will carry the mantle in the WOT? A democrat? Think again. I'll take Joe's help with so few patriotic democrats left in America.

But, I don't know why someone would go out of their way to cultivate such a false personality. It seems like way too much work.

Beats a 9 - 5 job and pays a hell of a lot more...........I'd do it myself if I could pull it off but I can't even lie to myself in the mirror.........
