How many of those "children" under the age of 18 are what I would consider a child.
A 14 year old gang member who kills a 16 year oid gang member is not what I classify as an assault on kids. They are victims of the ACLU fascist system which allows for the existance of these gangs.
PS Most police departments and courts across the America are enforcing liberal judge's interpretations of ACLU court cases, we are right behind California in many ways.
The older I get, the older I think should be the age of adulthood...right now, I think anyone under thirty is a kid.
