Rinos are an endangered species more due to natural selection than Rhinos, as the Leftist dominated Dinosaur media dies away, so will the motivation to compromise one's principles, hence the extinction of the Rino.

IMHO, the biggest beneficiaries of Democrat vote fraud aren't Democrats, but RINOs. If the effects of fraud were removed and the apparent political center moved a few points to the right to match the real one, Democrats could soften their message somewhat and maintain some degree of power. They'd wouldn't be able to drive the country off a cliff as quickly as they'd like, but they could still manage. RINOs, however, would be squeezed on both sides. Republicans would no longer feel they should support mushy candidates simply because they're "electable". If Republicans could get real conservatives elected, the pseudo-conservatives would lose all raison d'être.

It should be little surprise that in areas like Washington State, the "Republicans" don't seem interested in doing anything about vote fraud. Such fraud is the only thing keeping them in power.

He just doesn't seem to be much of a conservative, and he'll be a big drop-off from Jeb.

It's the MSM wish list. How come they never talk about the
disenfranchised conservative democrats?

Pinchy, sell the paper before you're
bankrupt!

That should be the dictionary definition of "Compassionate Conservative." Please, can we include a picture?

I have some reservations, too, although Jim Davis would be awful. Too bad it isn't Tom Feeney that's running.

We had another Tom(Gallagher)running,(and I voted for him) but he lost big, so Feeney might not have made much of a difference. Is Davis really that bad? If so I may have to vote for Crist anyway, although my opinion of him and the Florida GOP in general is not high right now.

Chaffee expected mercy when the Dims wouldn't even support a liberal such as Lieberman?

Gallagher's campaign was dreadful and was too tied to KH's flawed candidacy, which was why he would've been the worst (of the two) general election candidates. Feeney might've been a good "3rd choice" (and given that he's a Congressman like Davis, would've been on equal footing).

As for Davis, his ACU rating for 2004 & 2005 was a "4" (and he has been moving leftward every year he has been in office). His votes put him in the esteemed company of Congressman and Impeached former Federal Judge Alcee Hastings and he makes Kendrick Meek (who scored a 9) look like a right-winger. Even Nelson's ACU rating is a 20, so that gives you an idea of Davis's radical leftist moonbat voting record.

At the very least, Crist as Governor would have the opportunity to appoint more Republicans to the State Supreme Court, which currently only has 2 (out of 7) on it.

Olympia Snowe stopped responding to my letters years ago when I suggested she do the honorable thing and openly declare herself a Democrat.

What an embarrassment she and Collins are.

Gallagher's campaign wasn't very good, and Harris's campaign was worse. I voted for her in the primary and will again in the general, but she needs to learn that that's not how you win elections. As for his ACU rating, those aren't always accurate(they gave McCain an 80 and Graham a 100, FGS) but I see your point.

Odd. Are you saying that his Dem opponent is someone you would rather have as Governor? I don't live there any longer, so I have not checked the two out as closely as others.

No, Davis is not someone I'd want as governor, Crist hasn't shown us that he's much different. If Davis is really as left as they say he is, I will vote for Crist just to keep him out if it comes down to that.

When has any party had someone who somehow voted to organize in favor of the opposing side?

Jim Jeffords.

Why should we "tolerate" idiots like Chafee who vote with the other side anyway?

Because your choice is chafee or whitehouse. If you don't understand that tancredo can't get elected in Rhode Island, I think you are the idiot and not chafee.
