Lynne Cheney, wife of Vice President Dick Cheney, took on CNN Friday evening during an interview with anchorman Wolf Blitzer.
Transcript:
CHENEY: You made a point last night of a man who had a bookstore in london where radical islamists gathered. Who was in afghanistan when the taliban were there. Who went to pakistan. You know, i think that you might be a little careful before you declare this as a person with clean hands.
WOLF: You are receiving to the cnn "broken government" special. This is the one john king reported on last night.
CHENEY: Right there, wolf. Broken government. What kind of stance is that? Here we are. We are a country where we have been mightily challenged over the past six years. We've been through 9/11, we've been through katrina. The president and the vice president inherited oo recession. We are in a country where the economy is healthy. That's not broken. This government has acted very well. We have tax cuts responsible for the healthy economy. We are a country that was attacked five years ago. We haven't been attacked since. What this government has done is effective. That's not broken government. So, you know, i shouldn't let media bias surprise me, but i worked at cnn once. I watched a program last night.
WOLF: You worked in cross fire.
CHENEY: And i was troubled.
WOLF: All right. Well that was probably the purpose, to get people to think. To get people to discuss these issues. Because --
CHENEY: well, all right. Wolf, i'm here to talk about my book. But if you want to talk about distortion --
WOLF: we'll talk about your book.
CHENEY: Right, but what is cnn doing? Running terrorist tape of terrorists shooting americans. I mean, i thought duncan hunter asked you a very good question, and you didn't answer it. Do you want us to win?
WOLF: The answer of course is we want the united states to win. We are americans. There's no doubt about that.
CHENEY: Then why are you running terrorist propaganda?
WOLF: Well all do respect, this is not terrorist propaganda.
CHENEY: Oh, wolf.
WOLF: This is reporting the news. Which is what we do, we are not partisan.
CHENEY: Where did you get the film?
WOLF: We got the film, look, this is an issue that has been widely discussed. This is an issue we reported on extensively. We make no apology ies for showing that. That was a very carefully-considered decision why we did that. And i think, i think --
CHENEY: well i think it's shocking.
WOLF: If you are a serious journalist, you want to report the news. Sometimes the news is good, sometimes the news isn't so good.
CHENEY: But wolf, there's a difference between news and terrorist propaganda.
CNN is exemplifies the broken media.
Thanks for posting.
Don't you start--LOL!
that is a picture description of DRIVE BY MEDIA
hit and run from the dark.
Thanks for the Ping Starry-eyes! Gotta love Lynne! She's a red-hot poker in Wol's backside.
He got what he deserved.
Now that's a tagline
I watch a lot of Fox News and seldom CNN... I turned on Blitzer to see Lynn Cheney and have to tell you, I was really shocked at how childish they acted after she left. Zipping out to google her book and try to find sex passages, further bashing Bush for letting a terrorist go (if Lynn Cheney had been there, perhaps she would have asked, "Wolf, when did you start believing the President is soft on Terrorism?")... and then the disgusting Dobbs trying to kidney punch the administration when no body's there to respond.
Does anyone see that kind of thing on Fox? I mean, I don't watch BOR or Hannity anymore, but I never see Hume or Smith or Fox and Friends act like teenage googlists.
Hillary Clinton as First Lady went on the record saying that she learned (sometime after 1992) that it is acceptable to be nice to the "help." Since she is supposed to be the smartest woman in the world, her revelation of how to deal with the "help" was meant to instruct all us lesser folks who was raized widout no manners.
What she actually revealed was her own poor (as in low class) upbringing.
"Oh my HOW SMART...Lynne Cheney's book is released before this election...good excuse to go on the networks...she knows they'll want to talk about everything else besides her book...SHE CAN KICK A$$ AND TAKE NAMES...LOL... ;o)"
Great point! One to be remembered.
Good for Lynn. She gave it right back to him. I watched it, and Blitzer insinuated that she wrote a novel with explicit lesbian sex. I despise CNN.
The problem is, they're already trying to demoralize their enemy--- which is America. Why change?
Unbelievable. After Cheney leaves, Blitzer recruits Dobbs to bash her, then the internet chick, then they pull out Cafferty. No bias there! Don't forget CNN's special tonight "where the right went wrong"! Ted Turner is a commie, as is his network. Especially Wolf " if I pander to terrorists maybe people will forget that I once worked for the Jerusalem Post" Blitzer.
Better put some ice on that, Wolf.
The only time I watch CNN or Blitzer is when I see a link to something like this. I won't waste a second of my life watching/listening to their commie spew otherwise...
We Texans taught em how to shoot and cook.
Everyone from the Cowboy state already know how to shoot and cook. I taught my daughter how to shoot when she was 15 years, her mother taught her to cook.
We also taught our sons how to shoot and cook.
We then loan them to Texas to pass it on.
IMO, there is a severe shortage of gonads in the GOP and definitely no gonads on any of the RINOs including McCain.
Thank you Lynn Cheney~!!
