Because They Hate: A Survivor of Islamic Terror Warns America by Brigitte Gabrielle
Brigitte Gabriel lost her childhood to militant Islam. In 1975 she was 10 years old and living in Southern Lebanon when militant Muslims from throughout the Middle East poured into her country and declared jihad against the Lebanese Christians. At that time, Lebanon was the only Christian-influenced country in the Middle East and the Lebanese Civil War was the first front in what has become the worldwide jihad of fundamentalist Islam against non-Muslim people.
For 7 years, Brigitte and her parents lived in an underground bomb shelter. They had no running water or electricity and very little food. This book is a wake-up call to America and the West and this vanity takes direct sections of the book for this post.
At the end of this post are direct suggestions we as Americans can and should take.
Brigitte Gabriel is a journalist, news producer, terrorism expert, and founder of a nonprofit organization called American Congress for Truth.
My notes from the book are as follows:
I mostly agree with you.
We need to contact our legislators to convince them that we're tired of the PC crap. I know some Democrats in our neighborhood who have mentioned they're tired of the PC crap so I don't think it's just conservatives.
I am going to the library today and will be requesting this book. Thank you so much for this ping and the info above from the book. It's frightening what ignorance + hate...theirs and some of ours...can produce.
Thank you, Carolinamom, for taking the time at the library to request they purchase this book. It's but one small thing we can do to try and make sure people understand the nature of the threat we face in the years to come.
If enough Christian voters tighten the screws on these politicians, and make it stick by voting them out, there will be chapels, churches and maybe even a cathedral in Mecca. Write them, call them and tell them clearly that it is reciprocation or no deal. Of course, it might be "no deal", and that's okay, too. - We've become too fat, lazy and soft.
I have no desire to see a cathedral in Mecca. I think we should bomb it to smithereens. These people, who believe reprentative Western art is blasphemy and would impose that belief on us, are worshipping a pile of black rocks! If they can attempt to overthrow our societies, we can "fix" theirs.
Me too....where can they be found?
Me too....where can they be found?
No. I say a lot of things tongue in cheek, and the likelihood of a church in Mecca is about likely when pigs fly over Mecca. The part about requiring reciprocation should have been a given from the start; there would have been no mosque terrorist centers over here in the U.S. as the Mohammedans wouldn't have "reciprocated".
Excellent! I've got to get the book myself after reading this post. I would also like to add that the Islamic demands isn't focused only on the corporate world. I posted a thread yesterday about Muslims getting their own "prayer room" at school.
Controversy erupts after school offers Muslims special room

Hi Peach,
Do you agree with the advice?
Cheers.
Hi, Eurotwit. Long time no see.
Oh, yes. I think it's coming 5 years later than it should have, and I'd prefer it if the administration would talk about these things.
But for 5 years, people have been wondering how we can help and there are concrete suggestions that I really think are appropriate and doable and important.
You are right to be vigilant, but you are not even close to the situation in many European countries.
If Mark Steyn is right, there are several canoos in front of you on the way to wards the waterfall. For America, there will be plenty of time to start back paddling and stear away from the danger.
For the record, I don't think it is too late for Europe either. However, Europe will never be what it once was.
and operation infinite justice. It changed on September 25th 2001 to Enduring freedom after muslims had a hizzy fit.
Well done. Thanks for posting.
In my view, the core of the problem is the loss of faith in the west. We have substituted "Tolerance" as the only "Good". "Intolerance" is the only "Sin" we cannot abide.
This new secular religion has no sense of natural law, no recognition of a higher authority than man. Hence it cannot define what is evil.
This new secular religion cannot define Islam as evil without being "Intolerant", and that simply cannot be done. Hence the world cannot see Islam for the evil it so clearly is. There are none so blind as those who will not see.
Christianity offers a way out: Love the sinner, hate the sin. A Christian can hate the sin in Islam, and still love the Muslim. That means a Christian can coexist with a Muslim, and that is what we prefer to do. Christians are perfectly willing to strive for men's souls in the realm of the heart and mind.
However, it has become increasingly obvious that the converse is not true. It is Muslim hate that is driving the world towards the worst war the world has ever seen. If/when this war starts in ernest, it will surely involve the use of all weapons mankind is capable of making.
I believe the Muslims have miscalculated. Yes, the secularists of the west can be easily beaten. Most Europeans, and most Democrats in the U.S. are secularists. They have essentially surrendered already.
But the Christians have core beliefs that we will not give up. We will fight for what we believe. And when the real war starts, many secularists will rediscover their own faith as well. Many, many, will die on both sides, but Islam will be utterly destroyed.
Well written, Peach. Bookmarking.
Thank you; glad you liked it.
I just saw Brigitte Gabriel on Neal Cavuto's show being interviewed by David Asman, and she is indeed impressive.
Never forget that the pig is a beautiful, noble and...most importantly...tasty and nutritious animal.
