Begala was on earlier and spinning this as just novel writing. Notwithstanding the "let's just blow this off" reaction of the "elites", the things Webb wrote have a huge ewwwww factor that will bother the voters. They certainly bother me.

"Begala was on earlier and spinning this as just novel writing."
Begala spouted so many outrageous lies it was hard to keep track of them. For example, that George Allen was a racist who put deer heads in black's mailboxes, used the N-word, etc. And the lies he and Anus were spewing about Rush and Michael Fox were just vicious.
MSNBC just mentioned it at the top of the hour in their news.
Jim Miklaszewski said on Imus this morning that the books won't make a difference in the election.

You could very well expect Begala to be spinning in this case. That's his job. But for Miklaszewski to say this won't make a difference is rather presumptuous. How in the world does he know? Imus' next question should have been, "How do you know that, Jim?"
Although not in the realm of politics, weren't people saying the exact opposite of Mark Fuhrman during the OJ trial? Didn't Fuhrman say that he was giving background to a writer when he used the "F-word" and the OJ defense used that to discredit everything about Fuhrman?
