He dismisses the notion that Iraq is a mistake or a distraction: "This stuff about how Iraq is causing the enemy . . . whatever excuse they need, they have made up their mind to attack and they grab onto things to justify. If it's not Iraq, it's Israel. If it's not Israel, it's the Crusades. If it's not the Crusades, it is the cartoon."

BULLSEYE!!!

BULLSEYE!!!

Yes, but he has to see it is not radical Muslims alone raising the ruckus. It's all Islam seeking any little thing to rally around and stir Muslim resentment.

Scenes we'd like to see (and commentary we'd like to hear) in the Truth Segment of the CBS Evening News:

"We have seen the enemy and it is us Democrats. What halfway intelligent Iraqi would want to side with Americans in the war if he suspected Democrats could win in November 2006 or 2008, knowing that they would immediately reverse course and withdraw all support to Iraq?

"After witnessing our despicable retreat from Vietnam, is there any doubt that Osama bin Laden wrote the playbook for Democrats, that they would again seek to cut off all funds?

"With the connivance of the Mainstream Media, it would be easy for Democrats to blame Bush for future attacks on America in spite of their culpability.

"What made Democrats so desperate for power that they would sacrifice the defense of the United States for a crass and fleeting political advantage?

"President Bush deserves praise for his unwaivering commitment to the Iraqi people in the face of withering criticism from Democrats while he works to bring freedom and democracy to the Middle East, a great land of terrible turmoil through the ages.

"His legacy will be the enduring gratitude of generations that will be safer for his steadfast efforts on their behalf."
