"After 51 years, and eight gubernatorial administrations, of protecting Maryland's small population of black bears, Governor Bob Ehrlich decided to open a trophy hunting season on these creatures. It was political payback for his buddies at the NRA...."

The unions and soft money types are really piling it on Bob thru the media. I have yet to see a conservative PAC fire back.
I was incredulous last night. A TV ad starts w/ hokey framed pix of previous MD govs. and goes on to slam Ehrlich and bear population control. The soundtrack sounded like, fergawdzsake, Pachelbel's Canon!!!!
This will prob. backfire, not unlike some of the more embarrasssingly amateur pro-life ads would play in a Blue State.

I don't know, but I'm going to see if I can arrange a hunt. Woo hoo!

There is only a small part of Maryland where black bears live, the western part. Letting people hunt bears in Maryland makes sense, just like it does in Virginia and West Virginia.

This ad is going to backfire against what's-his-name Duck, the much touted Dem candidate in the 6th District in Western MD. Another GOP seat saved. Thank you Dems!

I grew up in Western Maryland. The area was small town Americana personified. I never understood until years after I left how the democrats destroyed it. Maryland politics are mostly dominated by the concentration of socialists in and around Baltimore and their parasite-like mascots.
They have acted like the old city states of Medieval days; drawing away the wealth generated around small towns and rural communities.

Yeah, that was my reaction when I moved to MI. "These people been standing on their heads in a bucket of poop so long, they don't realize that it stinks."
