LOL, what posers these lib hacks are, as if anyone believes they are "reporters" anymore.

At least Rush is honest about who he is and what he wants.

It's bad form to mock one's disability. Poor choice on Rush's part.

He did NOT mock his disability.

and Welcome to FR (2006-07-08).

Rush said that Fox admitted, in his own book, that he had not taken his meds, when he went before Congress. He did it so that they would get the full effect of the disease (my words).

I used to enjoy MJF as an actor. But, he is still an actor, with a drum to beat.

I'm sorry but just because Michael J. Fox has Parkinsons Disease doesn't make him special. He's doing a politcal ad and put himself out there and that's what he should have expected. I have no sympathy for him. My grandfather had Parkinsons Disease so I am very familiar with it.

It is imperative that the truth be out there on exactly what it is that Missouri is proposing. Rush stated and I believe, it is about cloning.

Rush also pointed out that there has been success in other protocols that are financially supported by Fox himself.

Too bad the media wants to make Rush the issue rather than embryonic stem cell research, which is NOT banned in the USA.

The President has refused to have taxpayer funding of this unproven research.

Ditto that. I don't care how sick or handicapped someone is. When you enter the political fray, expect to be critiqued. And when you lie, expect to be attacked.

I find it really hard to believe that a Hollywood tv show would "tape around his illness," don't you? Hollywood is one cold little merciless town and money is the bottom line. Strange story getting stranger!

This is good for people in Missouri because the truth of the Ballot initiative is coming out quicker.

What is (at the moment) being lost in the debate about Fox is that he LIED in the commercial.

I think this is front page news every where online. No one even cares what was said or why. Rush has now given the Left a gift better than Foley did.

Even on non political shows they are nailing Rush because all they know about him is he had a drug problem and he is conservative.

On Fox & Friends this morning, they said Michael admitted in his book he wouldn't take his meds so would shake more when being interviewed. A bit sleezy if you ask me.

Michael J. Fox is a Hollywood actor and is therefore much more important than some unviable tissue mass.

The only thing Rush said that was wrong was the work faking. He could have gone with MJ Fox may have been off his meds to show the symptoms of the disease without medications. It would have been more prudent. That being said MSM is taking this way too seriously. Rush and Fox are entertainers let them duke it out on their own.

Sorry but that makes no sense. The medication causes the tremors, not taking the medication would have the reverse affect (he wouldn't move at all)

But like previous posters this sort of tactic is exactly what Coulter refered to.

RB --

Welcome to the debate. Before you 'attack' or criticize, make certain your aim is well-placed. Rush Limbaugh did not mock the disability, he mocked the ad and its intent. HE also slammed it for it misleading nature and downright falsehoods. There is no doubt that Parkinson's disables its victims. There IS considerable doubt in literature and in lab/field trials that stem cells deliver long-term benefits to sufferers AND there IS the one (Parkinson's-related) study published where 100% of the lab rats treated with stem cells developed brain tumors. Also, there is the falsehood in the ad about who did and did not vote for stem cell research AND whether or not said research is legal.

The ad makes a mockery of the truth, and MJF (in his disabled state) was (apparently) a misled pawn in shameless political effort.

Rush did not "mock" anything. You obviously didn't listen to his last two programs or you would know what he said and how he said it. He was absolutely right to bring this to the attention of the public.
