Seawitch sends this awesome video of Aussie lass Beccy Cole who is singing "Poster Girl" in response to some of her fans who disagree with her supporting the Diggers, the Australian soldiers fighting in The Long War.
Simply put, it is amazing...turn it up:

The Aussies have been one ally that has stuck with us through thick and thin. They shed their blood with us in WWII, Korea and Viet Nam and now in Iraq and Afghanistan. I had the privilege of meeting a few of them on R&R in Saigon.
That's why I'm a pissant.
Ya I am
:-)
Wow.
Simply. Wow.
LOL. Perhaps your prescription glasses are out of date?
:-)
On second thought... maybe you could just forward your castoffs to me. I could handle it.
But really... I liked this video so much I had to go leave her a nice message at her site. It's just dang refreshing.
I just listened to that song again. It could be a pretty big hit here if those in our music industry were not morons.

I've got a bright red sticker on the back of my car,
Says: "United States Marines."
An' yesterday a lady in a mini-van,
Held up her middle finger at me.
Does she think she knows what I stand for,
Or the things that I believe?
Just by looking at a sticker for the US Marines,
On the bumper of my S.U.V.
See, my brother Chris, he's been in,
For more than 14 years now.
Our Dad was in the Navy during Vietnam,
Did his duty, then he got out.
And my Grandpa earned his Purple Heart,
On the beach of Normandy.
That's why I've got a sticker for the US Marines,
On the bumper of my S.U.V.
But that doesn't mean that I want war:
I'm not Republican or Democrat.
But I've gone all around this crazy world,
Just to try to better understand.
An' yes, I do have questions:
I get to ask them because I'm free.
That's why I've got a sticker for the US Marines,
On the bumper of my S.U.V.
'Cause I've been to Hiroshima,
An' I've been to the DMZ.
I've walked on the sand in Baghdad,
Still don't have all of the answers I need.
But I guess I wanna know where she's been,
Before she judges and gestures to me,
'Cause she don't like my sticker for the US Marines,
On the bumper of my S.U.V.
So I hope that lady in her mini-van,
Turns on her radio and hears this from me.
As she picks up her kids,
From their private school,
An' drives home safely on our city streets.
Or to the building where her church group meets:
Yeah, that's why I've got a sticker for the US Marines,
On the bumper of my S.U.V.
How'd we draw the likes of the f'n Dixie Chicks, anyway?

I think it is worth pointing out that Australia ultimately decorated the Australian entertainers who went to Vietnam to entertain our troops - they were awarded the Vietnam Logistics and Support Medal. These people make a real contribution and it must be honoured and respected. The same medal was also awarded to some people who went to Vietnam to provide canteens for troops, QANTAS air and cabin crew who ensured our travelling troops travelled as comfortably as possible, civilian doctors and nurses.
I think it's important for civilians to know that they can make a real contribution to the defence of civilisation. There's lots of ways to do it.
Pissant, you are way wrong.
I had some trouble with videos loading last night...couldn't get any to load faster than a snail's pace, even with DSL. So, I waited until this morning, and the problem seems to have corrected itself.
And I am SO glad I waited. WOW.
She 'gets it'. That song really got me misted up, kinda like Chely Wright's "Bumper of My SUV" did. There is one 'sheila' any Aussie can be proud of.
(...and the Ditsy Chix ain't worthy to wash her socks!)
Not my type. But gotta appreciate her nonetheless.
Super song and terrific lady.
That's a very impertinent comment. She looks pretty good from my vantage point, but how does what she looks like have to do with she is doing for the Australian troops?
