Well hold on there! I AM a football fan. Of FOOTBALL. Not the Starbucks Commodity of the NFL. I like watching college kids play that are having fun and still have the cartilage and skulls to survive the game, not doing it because they get millions of dollars and are pumped up on pain killers. I was a "series hugh" Cowboy fan growing up when I thought that the teams had something to do with the pride of their locale. The "Tennessee Oiler" sham, etc just made it kinda redundant and fast-food. Super-size, super-bowl, whatever. USC v. Texas in the Rosebowl last year---THAT was a football championship.
And baseball is just slightly less boring than soccer, I'm just not a fan of 9 or 15 innings and my arm is tired so someone wins! Yay!
And no, I don't love Raymond!
Anyway, I apologize for the diatribe on professional-sports and sitcoms, but to the extent that this ad is directed at people who take their political direction from QBs and sitcom actresses, maybe this is good! I wish it luck.
I've never watched Raymond either....lol
As for celebrities making political ads - I really don't mind if they would keep it civil. The problem is, civility is a foreign word to Babs, Springsteen, Dixie Chicks, Affleck, and so on. Several democrat celebrities don't shove it in your face and insult folks.
But I don't let it influence me, either. That's what FR is for. Haha.
