Media has gone too far! (Vanity)
10/24/2006 | Mat_Helm

I am ashamed of the people that are supposed to be leading this nation. When individuals place themselves and their own interests above the well being and defense of the nation, when they fail to uphold their oath to the constitution and in its place pledge loyalty to the media and their financial supporters, when both parties are more concerned about making the other party or person look bad and spend more time, energy, and resources on vendetta and personal destruction of their political rivals instead of the same effort on working on the nation’s needs, when enemies are at the gate and young American men shed blood and guts for their nation and the media gives a voice to the enemy instead of honoring its fallen heroes, I fear this nation has truly lost its moral compass.

My family has been serving and bleeding for this nation since its founding. An uncle at Gaudal Canal with the 1’st Marines in the Pacific, another at Utah beach on D-Day with the 4’th ID (two bronze stars) and my father with the 9’th Marines during Korea. These men were heroes to me and if they were alive today they would be kicking down the doors of CNN for showing American soldiers being fired upon from video provided by their attackers. Their voices call out from the grave along with those of their fallen comrades to call down the thunder and righteous might of heaven to silence such open treason.

The media is emboldened by democratic members of congress which fail to support the commander of our armed forces during time of war and give comfort and aid to the enemy instead. The media (NY Times) openly defied the government and printed secrets because an elite individual thought that he knew better and was not prosecuted for it. This and other treasonous acts has left the media with the perception it is unaccountable to anyone accept editors and viewer ratings. The government fails to take action as the party in power simply hopes the outrage over these acts will drive more votes for them if they give the left enough rope to hang themselves.

It just sickens me to think of the lives lost on 911 and to see the nation’s academic, corporate, media, and government leaders dividing the nation instead of uniting behind our President and those that fight for freedom at home and abroad. To many Americans have forgotten how to salute, pray, and stand shoulder to shoulder. I fear it will take a lot more lives to be lost at home from a terror weapon provided by North Korea or Iran to finally wake up a society numb from Hollywood shock and awe to the point they don’t recognize the real danger until it brakes their doors down and puts the fear of God back into them. If the media continues supporting our enemies this nation will soon have a real come to Jesus moment, provided by it’s come to allah or die enemies, and it will be to late for many.

This is my first vanity post ever and was motivated from outrage to the CNN airing of enemy sniper video.

Good post, Matt.

You're at the right place to voice this.

Jim Robinson and the gang have brought together a countless number of us who think like you do.

Media has gone to far!

I'm thinking that you meant to say: "Media has gone too far"

I don't get too outraged at the media anymore - they are just the propoganda arm of the Democrat Party, which itself consists primarily of socialists/communists, criminals and perverts (typically indistinguishable from one another). Viewed in that light, the media's behavior is perfectly understandable.

It's systemic. It's in Congress, in every branch of the government, in the hierarchy of every church, mosque, synagogue, and temple that is suppose to instill the good values of religion but has instead been used to enrich a few and in some cases commit mass murder of fellow human beings for others, it's in the universities committed to brainwashing those who seek an education to just have a better standard of living, it's in every corporation. It's everywhere.

It's the "I'm going to get mine and show everyone how smart, little I care, how lazy I am, or how I can use other people and screw them to the top of the heap" generation.

If God ever needed a target rich environment, it's here now.

Can anyone give me a solid, journalistic reason to actually show that video?

Report on it, maybe. Actually show it frame by frame? No reason.

It's sensationalism at best, and promoting our enemy's propaganda at worst.

I am afraid you are right. I am fearful of an attitude adjustment bigger than 911 coming are way because of the left failing to see the reality of the radical islamic movement and their goals on hurting America regardless of what happens in Iraq. If we lose there in Iraq we will pay for it here sooner or later and CNN is helping in our defeat.

I am surprised there isn't more outrage by most people who know about what CNN did.
