Umm NO that is not actually what Gen Casey said about Iraq at all. As usual the Junk Media simply lies about what the plan is. What Casey did was give a progress report. This has plan has been what they have been working on since the last Iraq elections. It just the Junk Media choose to ignore it day in and day out to scream the "Iraqi Civil War" lie. This is not an Oct surprise merely a progress report on where we are at in Iraq. Here is what Casey said.

BAGHDAD, Iraq — Iraqi forces should be able to take full control of security in the country within the next 12 to 18 months with minimal American support, Gen. George Casey, the top U.S. commander in Iraq, said on Tuesday.
