(Thanks for the Dose, snugs! Looks like our First Couple is still getting along. :)
The First Couple was having another of their knock-down, drag-out fights, after W dispatched the Secret Service out of earshot, and he finally let Laura have it. He used one of the prior first lady's infamous ashtrays and took a big chunk out of Laura's calf. (You can clearly see in the photo the hostility that hangs on between them, they are barely able to stand on the same red carpet together.)
Cause of the fight: Laura wanted to chair a committe to force Margaret Spellings to include librarians as one-half of the task force on making all American children able to read by third grade.
Has anyone seen Ms. Spellings lately?
