On Saturday the President held talks with military commanders in the Roosevelt Room of the White House along with other administration officers including a video link with the Vice President.
Today he and the First Lady welcomed King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden to the White House
The President also met with crew members of the Space Shuttle Discovery at the White House and visted the Urban Trust Bank in Washington for a discussion on the economy with small business owners and community bankers.
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice met with International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) chief Mohamed al Baradei and Dutch Foreign Minister Bernard Bot at the State Department in Washington October 23, 2006.
She also had closed meetings with Italy's Justice Minister Clemente Mastella and Israel 's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transportation and Road Safety Shaul Mofaz.
Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld met with Spain's Defense Minister Jose Antonio Alonso Suarez at the Pentagon

It was eyeopening to hear and read the remarks of others about hubby. Our daughter was simply amazed. He touched so many lives during his years at NASA and the company. Everyone commented on what an honorable man he was. I knew that but it was nice to hear others thought the same thing. Everyone has been pitching in to help our daughter with the company. I am going to have to quit this--it is making me cry again.

Me and my family would love to add my brother Jeff to your prayer list. He is currently stationed in Ghazni Afghanistan and Bagram and will be until April 2007.

Just saw your profile page that you are into Orchids!
My ex and I hybridized/showed orchids . Mostly phals but also Cats..I esp loved the small weird species. We had a large collection & I just walked away from it as I was in grad school it didn't seem fair to take them away from the good care& etc Bob gave & the large green house to my unknown situation
Maybe again someday but they were a LOT of work...but a LOT of fun

Hi snugs,
The birds are doing great. My silly little liberal grey parrot Cotton is still asking "Where's John Kerry?". LOL She somehow picked that up from TV during the 04 election and just won't forget it. I lurk here every night, but its usually so late that everyone has said goodnight already.
