Britain is embroiled in a fierce debate over British Muslim women who wear a niqab--an opaque veil that covers a woman's entire face. Many British Muslims have expressed outrage that a public schoolteacher was ordered to remove her veil--while many other Britons have defended the school, criticized the wearing of niqabs, and called for the greater assimilation of Muslims into British society.
"Britons are absolutely right to criticize the niqab," said Alex Epstein, junior fellow at the Ayn Rand Institute. "It is a demeaning, barbaric article of clothing that inculcates shame in women, depriving them of individuality and femininity."
"But to criticize niqabs will not go very far in making Britain a more integrated, less balkanized nation. Britons' most powerful tool of assimilation is to understand and proudly and convincingly proclaim Western ideals. They must understand that what made the West great is individualism, reason, the pursuit of happiness--and that this is objectively superior to the tribalism, superstition, and earthly deprivation that many Muslims seek to live out and bring to Europe. Britons must reject the insidious idea of multiculturalism, which holds that all cultures are of equal value. Cultures are not of equal value: prosperity is superior to poverty, happiness is superior to misery, freedom is superior to slavery, and a visible face is superior to a slit revealing two anonymous eyes."

Or better yet, kick every one of the crazed Muslims out of Britain and the rest of the EU and back to the shiite-holes that they came from. If that doesn't happen soon, Europe will be lost to the West.
Actually, it's Christianity that made the West into a place where people could prosper rather than:
1) worrying about being murdered
2) worrying about someone sleeping with your wife
3) your workers acting like lazybones on the job
Actually, the secret to integrating Britain is to eliminate the welfare state. If Muslim immigrants were given the choice between landing jobs or starving, there would be far fewer who would care to maintain (and adopt) esoteric cultural (not religious) accutremonts of the distant past.
In the US, we don't need to stop Amish from dressing like 19th century Dutch farmers or prevent women from wearing burqas because, for most people, maintaining those customs are just too onerous. But if people could create their own little enclaves subsidized by the government, a lot more people would sign up for that silliness.
RESISTANCE IS FUTILE.
How Britain Should Promote Assimilation = "My way ...highway"
It's a process called, deportation.
But Europe is already lost to the West. They waited too late. Britain is now going through the same process.
Guess who is next?
Or, as GW would say, "You're either with us or against us."

Wow. That made too much sense! No wonder I didn't read it in the newspaper today.
I wonder if he'd also think that true of the dark-colored, long dresses & bonnets the Amish & Mennonites wear, or the long dresses & refusal to cut the hair that mark some Pentacostal Holiness denominations?
I.E., is there a difference in modest and "different" dress if it's a minority Christian group?
If there were repeated instances of Amish committing terrorist acts, people would have more of a problem with them.
I realize that, and acknowledge that. It wasn't the point the author was making, though, IMHO.
It seemed that he was more concerned that the women in Muslim dress were being oppressed.
Islam is a disease. You can't beat it by killing those infected, much less simply moving them to their place of origin.
The world must be disinfected.
Sending muslims back to their home countries doesn't solve the problem of a nuclear sword of islam.
Islam must be expunged from the face of the earth.
Empty words. The Saudi royal family and the Kingdom itself is against us. And W still holds hands with their leader.
Everybody must reject the insidious idea of multiculturalism. Suppose a group of people stepped foot on our soil and claimed that canablism was their cultural right?
No, there's a difference between clothing that is specifically designed to hide your face and clothing that is just simple.
Do you think that the veil "is a demeaning, barbaric article of clothing that inculcates shame in women, depriving them of individuality and femininity"?
It sounds to me as if he's more concerned that the women are oppressed than that they are not identifiable.
