I can not even begin to think that either house would perpetuate a coup by removing both a President and VP. If there were a risk of both being removed, the VP could resign, allowing the President to appoint a replacement. If the Senate refused to confirm that replacement before removing the President, it would be seen clearly as a power grab. The would be little legitimacy for the House Speaker turned President, and I dare call it a Constitutional crisis. It is difficult to say how that would play out. I would be very risky, and I don't mean in terms of the next election cycle. Agency heads wouldn't know what to do, military commanders wouldn't know what to do. Foreign leaders wouldn't know who to talk to. Finally, it would call into question whether we could have divided legislative and executive branches ever again. Everything, everything would be different. I can't see the Democrats considering this.
I can!
They are so ate up with it, they can't help themselves. Ask Karl Rove!!
Should we ignore rangel, conyer's and pelosi's own promise that they will Impeach our two great Leaders? I guess if it's ok with some to ignore al qaeda and their threats, so it seems to ignore dim's threats would be ok with some also.
LLS
I can, very easily.
