If money was the answer Lieberman would be losing to Lamont in Connecticut,he has spent 14 million of his own money and is behind by 13 points.
Besides that Lamont is the anti Iraq war candidate and Lieberman supports the president on the war! Go figure
Ah but the difference is where the money comes from. Grasroots money is more important that personal money. Barron's did their analysis based on the money donated by the folks out there. Those who donate, will go vote, and will also try and influence others to do the same and for the same candidate. Makes sense to me that the candidate that gets more of the $50 donations will do better than a guy spending his own millions, as long as the disparity is not overwhelming.
