Al-Jazeera airs more sniper video

More video has aired, allegedly showing Iraqi snipers targeting American troops.

The video shows at least three soldiers falling to the ground after apparently being shot by snipers in separate attacks. It's unclear when or where the attacks took place. The footage was stamped with the emblem of the Islamic Army in Iraq, a major Sunni Arab insurgent group.

CNN aired sniper video last week. The network has defended that as part of an effort to show what it calls the "unvarnished truth" about the war.

California Congressman Brian Bilbray has criticized CNN for airing what he terms "a terrorist snuff film."

I 'll vote and i will hold my nose. I know you are right , this is beyond bush , we must hold the house. But i must say the way we are running the war , the fact that we refuse to attack the traitors and call them what they are , letting the ried gift slip away , going after weldon before the election . lets face it it goes on and on. Actually, I was just on a thread about some airstrikes around Baghdad today....and last night the US was striking Sadr's house.

I am praying this stepped up military activity is a result of the conferences that Bush has been having with the military leaders in Iraq..and at Centcom.

If they want to show the real war, why not show the beheadings? Why not continue to show the WTC towers falling and crumbling to dust?

CNN reporters in the Middle East are just trying to create cover to hide all the information about terrorist cells that they constantly leak to the US military.

Yeah, I think it's already been established that AP and Reuters have been using Iraqis - who have a motive. They know how to use the camera to utilize their agenda - so they all, including CNN, use these people who tell them they know when a certain event is going to take place and they get the camera and wait in the correct spot to get the best pictures.

But .. apparently, when that is not available, they are not opposed to staging phoney pictures to keep their agenda intact.
