I got polled a couple of nights ago. Media Research Associates. They said they were doing the poll to be bought by some of the bigger concerns. He mentioned Pew.

The poll was very unbiased, as far as I could tell. Asked my opinion of President Bush; favorable, very favorable, unfavorable or very unfavorable...in that order. All questions were similar. Questions about how I view the world, economy, future, etc. Lots of questions also about my state's elections, Governor, Lt Governor, Congress, etc. All in all, a very thorough poll.

I was straight up positive and pro-Republican!

Baron Munchausen's horse was named Bucephalus.

Wasn't that Hank Williams Junior's horse? :-)

I think they are wrong, way over sampled Dems... I could be wrong, but I think we may see a repeat of 2004 election when we all went into vote "knowing" Bush was behind and then the results started coming out and the pollsters had egg all over their faces.

The MSM is desperate to do whatever they can to depress the turnout by the GOP and it's going to get incredibly nasty (IMO) over the next two weeks.

Personally, I will crawl over burning coals on November 7th to vote a straight R ticket.

Sounds to me like they will target poor black and hispanic churches. The Dems are desperate about losing more of the black vote to the GOP and they want the hispanic voters, too.

Same here... and I saw it more than once. I almost went to jail when the truthers were at the WTC commemoration spouting their 'it never happened, phones can't reach, it's a lie'... I smacked the DNA out of one of them. I have to let you see the video one day. They waited till all the firefighters and military left and literally took over the streets... cowards and idiots. Commie b*stards.

"LOL...fried baloney!"

"My husband and I lived on that when he got back from Vietnam, and was finishing college!!"

Omigosh! I had forgotten about fried baloney! I'm an Air Force Brat and we had. Also had little pieces of boloney and cheese in scrambled eggs. I haven't had that in so long (don't normally buy luncheon meat as I try to stay away from fat as much as possible -- except for ice cream (LOL!) - -I'm going to have to buy some boloney!

Are you going to VOLUNTEER to watch her on 60 Minutes tonight, and report what is said????

Hey, I'm dedicated, but I'm not psychotic!

Besides, there are repeats of Heroes coming up!  (I don't know if they conflict, but that's as good a dodge as I could come up with)

By the way, if you tolerate SF that's a good series, so far.  They're showing episode 2, 3 and 4 in straight order on NBC tonight instead of Sunday Night Football (why there's no game I have no clue... nope, that's not true, it just dawned on me that it's probably to avoid conflicting with the World Series by contract).  You can pick the series up fairly quickly even if you didn't see the first show.  I keep expecting the writers to drive straight over a cliff, but so far they are doing a good job.

I barely recognized Alamosa from a few years prior.

Why? Is it growing? As I said, haven't been back for a long time, no family left there.

UGH...Juan just said that the "POLLS" say we should change strategy in Iraq....LOL

Yeah, we want a POTUS/CIC to fight a war according to POLLS.

Then, he said that it would happen if "he stands up and is a MAN about it"...

Juan is telling the POTUS/CIC to stand up a be a MAN????

I am really angry at the audacity of these idiot people on TV!

Kristol just said that RUMMY will leave after the election.

I am a Rummy fan...but even if I wasn't.

How would Bush get ANY candidate for Sec. of Defense that HE likes, confirmed by the Senate??? and wouldn't that fight, with the void of Rummy being GONE...be GREAT for the terrorists???

No, I didn't see that - thanks for letting me know about it - I'll look for it later.

I also am hoping this is one of the new tactics. Fits quite nicely with his conference with the generals this weekend.

Sure! Father Francis Lynch is a great old guy, and very, very conservative. He loves President Bush. He is a Vincentian (the Vincentians did a lot of Church building here in the heart of the bible belt during the 1930s in the face of the KKK--it was quite a struggle for them). Only problem is he's 85 years old, fit as a fiddle still, but we'd be devastated to see him go. He does have good genes, though. He's from Philadelphia, and went up there last month to see his older sister, who was dying of cancer. Well, to make a long story short, she got better! And now she's back at home, 89 years old, still running her on household.

Our deacon, unfortunately, is a democrat. But a good guy nevertheless. I love to argue with him!
