SKerry is on Steffy's show (after Pres Bush) and called him a liar and is going on and on - I had to turn it off - he makes me cringe anyway and he is really over the top this a.m. What a lying slimeball

I was disheartened by Brit and Bill Kristol both buying into the predictions of big Republican defeats. I was hoping that they were going to buck that conventional wisdom.

I am not surprised. They are all Beltway types, with their own culture and circles.

The truth is they have no idea what will happen in this election. You can't trust media-driven polls. This latest batch are heavily skewed to Democrats. They also cannot predict turnout.

Two years ago Kristol predicted a Dem takeover and was so wrong he had to eat crow. In fact, Kristol has been wrong on many things. I can't explain Brit.

Rush and Mark Levin seem to be the only people that have a true perspective of reality on this election.

We are up against one of the best BS parades ever released upon a population, supplied by the enemy and supported and voiced by the enemy from within. If the rats should succeed this year in even closing the gap(which I have not conceded yet) their losses in 08 will be so severe they will wish they actually did have a party platform.

For those of you in Rio Linda, he's talking about the Drive-By/Mainstream Media. They are indeed the biggest enemy of all.

I think that Ken5050 is spot on about Little Rahmmie. Even if he does not get a Democrat Majority House,just the fact that it will be close will give him high marks with the nasty leftist Rats. They will give him high marks for the vicious and sleazy campaign he has run and give him another chance at the Dccc leadership to complete the unfinished job. Republicans need to be really pushing this next week in particular and volunteer to do anything that you are fairly good or really good at it will be a tremendous help,and an unbelievably positive experience. You can make a difference,no matter how little you think you may be helping,and it will help you cope with the stress of the campaign. I know you are doing your part,and way beyond that. We are doing all we can here in the 16 CD to elect Joe Negron,and he is campaigning like crazy. He could use more funds right now. Anyone wishing to donate joenegron.com is his website. The last poll I saw was he was tied with the sleazy Tim Mahoney.

Funny, he didn't bring it up in the second piece.

Spent time in both Muslim and Catholic schools
In Indonesia, I'd spent 2 years at a Muslim school, 2 years at a Catholic school. In the Muslim school, the teacher wrote to tell mother I made faces during Koranic studies. In the Catholic school, when it came time to pray, I'd pretend to close my eyes, then peek around the room. Nothing happened. No angels descended. Just a parched old nun and 30 brown children, muttering words. Sometimes the nun would catch me, and her stern look would force my lids back shut. But that didn't change how I felt inside.

I'm a big believer in the separation of church and state
I went to a Catholic school in a Muslim country, so I was studying the Bible and catechisms by day, and, at night, you'd hear the [Muslim] prayer call. My mother was a deeply spiritual person. Her view always was that underlying these religions was a common set of beliefs about how you treat other people and how you aspire to act, not just for yourself, but also for the greater good. I am a follower, as well, of our civic religion. I'm a big believer in the separation of church and state. I am a big believer in our constitutional structure. I'm a law professor at the University of Chicago teaching constitutional law.

I didn't attack you and I'm sorry if you took it that way and am not quite sure why you're so touchy on a discussion about races in TN. I'm interested in politics and just trying to understand the various races. I'm not sure what comment I made that you're referring to, unless it's that you're there and know better than I. Which I truly meant - you hear the news, read the papers and have a pulse on what's going on - -all I have is what I see on FNC, read on FR, or see on the various poll sites. I was just trying to get more info from someone who is there - apparently I chose the wrong person. Don't worry, I won't bother you with discussions about TN politics in the future - there are other FR that are more amenable to have discussions on that subject with.

I am worried about what's going on in my state as well as all states - I want the Pubbies to win across the nation. BTW - not everyone in WA is a leftist.

Speaking of Katie Cowlick, I accidentally tuned the TV in two minutes early Friday so I could watch Republican Pat Sajak on Wheel of Fortune at 7PM. It was Katie talking with some really thin,effeminate geeky male reporter about some sob story they had just presented,and she was turning on the tears,and they were making me ill with their maudlin behavior about a story I never saw,thankfully. She looks very chunky,and not at all Reporter or even News reader material. She seems more like "The View" material,and does not come across as serious. She looks to me like she is trying to hard to give an appearance of being "Nice". If she has to try this hard,obviously it is not coming across to viewers.
