Well, CBS took the lead in brushing off Clinton's admitted infidelities. They turned his national candidacy around even though popular opinion at the time showed he was losing it as a candidate.

And let's not forget that years later CBS released the *whole* interview and it became clear they 'airbrushed' it to eliminate the more difficult moments. Media now is greasing the skids for Hillary, Obama, and few other media favorites.
