On Friday night, Hillary Clinton finally had to face an unscripted, uncontrolled media event -- a debate with her feisty opponent John Spencer, the Republican candidate for Senator from New York this year.

Spencer pinned her ears back with his opening statement when he declared: "I am the only person here who really wants to be the Senator from New York .... she wants to be president."

Spencer looks REALLY good.

It would be nice if he could win, but even if he doesn't I hope he makes an excellent showing.

Is this the only coverage this got outside of New York? Ted Kennedy got applause from the Boston Globe for engaging in a 30 MINUTE "debate", so it's too bad the MSMS's annointed ones are being protected as usual.

It's a shame that it really won't matter much at all.

He works for himself. He is an opportunist with no scruples.

Dick certainly isn't right a whole bunch of the time, but I think he's burned his clinton bridges many times over.

This debate will be repeated tonight on CSPAN1 at 8PM Eastern, 5PM Pacfic for any who want to see it. I can't wait to watch Spencer hand the Witch her fat a-- tonight.

Anyone else see this debate? Did you think in all honesty Hillary got beat? I'm curious about the perceptions of others on this.

Hildabeast: "In the middle of the Civil War, Abraham Lincoln did not hesitate to change generals."

Spencer scolded Clinton for taking such a position because Rumsfeld serves the president, and "you are not president yet," he said.

He works for himself. He is an opportunist with no scruples.

He is...and he's always wrong..
except when it comes to the Clintons.

That's the only subject where he has any credibility.

Didley Morris genuinely hates Hitlery.

However, he is predicted a win for her in '08.

Thank God he is terrible at predictions.

"He [Morris] works for himself. He is an opportunist with no scruples."

There may be some truth in that, but if you ever see him on TV talking about Hillary, you will quickly get the feeling he loathes that woman; which is, of course, a point in his favor. Some of what he is saying and doing is personal, I think.

He is...and he's always wrong.. except when it comes to the Clintons.

Morris was dead wrong when he predicted over and over again that Hellary would lose her Senate bid 6 years ago.

Now he is predicting over and over againg that she will be Pres. in '08. I still don't believe him even though he hates the Witch.

If that's his best line, then I'd say that Newsmax is overstating its case.
