The after mid-term election liberal fighting begins sooner than expected. The fingers will point.

Ted Kennedy wouldn't recognize "terrible shame" if he got drunk and drowned it in his car.

In a letter to Sulzberger, Kennedy and others said "a troubling pattern of disinvestment, downsizing, outsourcing and cost cutting has emerged" to damage the fabled paper. "A shrinking news hole and the elimination of bureaus have stung the morale of employees facing in creased health care costs and wage freezes." Ted's got money - he can start his own paper. I doubt it would be a success even if it were a free weekly give-away!

Teddy doesn't realize that the NYT can't raise revenue by raising taxes. He has no concept of how capitalism works.

Fat Teddy evidently thinks he's achieved his lifelong dream -- to become a commissar in the old Soviet Union.
They left out a line:

"Boston Globe journalists have risked their lives and, in some cases, given their lives" to uphold "a long and storied tradition of excellence." "What a terrible shame it would be if the premier brand in journalism - The New York Times Co. - was responsible for doing genuine harm to that tradition".
With a little editing, this statement can also be applied to the U.S.militery and the damage done by Kennedy and his cherished democrat party.

Nothing like a cat fight between liberal snakes.
Maybe the NY Slimes can carry a front page of Kennedy's acts of treason during the cold war.

Newspapers as high-minded enterprises is an anachronism best left in the dust of all that wasted ink and pulp being turned into hamburger cartons.
