It is interesting when things like this about changing American culture and over-litigiousness are viewed from abroad. They must think we are nuts.

"They must think we are nuts."

Then they must be very astute.

The report says this "Willett Elementary School" previously had outlawed 'dodge ball'.

I think the report must be viewed with great interest by the Japanese; some must wonder if the PC germs will be infecting the archipelago soon, too.

Japanese kids are very studious and hard-working. Their country is successful. And...they are capitalistic and 99% percent homogeneous racially.

I guess one doesn't need cheap immigrant labor and multiculturalism to have a successful society.

I hope it doesn't give them ideas ... last time they thought we were weak, we had to nuke them to prove otherwise.

It is interesting when things like this about changing American culture and over-litigiousness are viewed from abroad.

The U.S. has more lawyers per capita than any nation on earth. It follows that the U.S. is the most litigious country in the world ... it impacts to one degree or another every facet of our everyday living. Major tort reform in this country is absolutely necessary ... lawyers and their frivolous lawsuits need to be reined in a dramatic fashion.

Should I even bother to ask if they allow kids to play "Smear the Queer" in Massachusetts?

There is a slight tone of incredulousness.

I am sure you have noticed the reaction when American stupidity is revealed for what it is in the foreign press. Our friends favorite is still the "coffee too hot" lawsuit. However, I am sure to hear about this absurdity -- Kids being kids now illegal in America.

A considerable percentage of us are certifiable and we don't need Michael Savage to tell us that. But, look, unsupervised play in kindergarten is one step from Lord of the Flies. Just turn your back for a minute and they'll be driving SUVs and having their tongue pierced.

Here is the school email address. I suggest people to write respectful letters of disapproval to Mrs. Heppe.

For example, I will tell her that were I a parent, student, or teacher at her school, I would organize active resistance to her decision. Quite frankly, I don't believe schools have the moral or legal right to impose a permanent ban on tag or touch football during recess.

True story: This past Saturday an acquaintance who is originally from Hungary told me that her mother was an elementary school teacher in Hungary and there was always a government representative sitting in the back of the classroom to monitor to make sure she never said anything negative about the Communist regime, or said anything to the children that was not 'approved'. This is the direction in which we are heading - robot (translation: moronic) teachers to produce robot children.

Unlike us, they still believe in compitition....the fact that in games, as in life, there are winners and losers.
