It is interesting when things like this about changing American culture and over-litigiousness are viewed from abroad.

The U.S. has more lawyers per capita than any nation on earth. It follows that the U.S. is the most litigious country in the world ... it impacts to one degree or another every facet of our everyday living. Major tort reform in this country is absolutely necessary ... lawyers and their frivolous lawsuits need to be reined in a dramatic fashion.

I am a fairly easy going person. After a very minor fender bender, wasn't even a scratch, and it wasn't my fault, the other driver was all nervous, overly defensive, fidgeting, asking over and over if i felt it was not a problem, would I sign that i would not come after him legally later, etc. etc. There was sheer FEAR in this chap's eyes, when no fear was needed at all.

I HATE what lawyers, lawsuits and litigiousness have done to our country and its people...they have broken down all walls between us where we can just 'work things out' as we did in the past.

"It follows that the U.S. is the most litigious country in the world ..."

I read somewhere recently that 95% of all lawsuits in the world are in the U.S.
