Kerry said then his accusations were based on the so-called "testimony" of "150 honorably discharged" Vietnam veterans who, like himself, claimed to have committed or witnessed "war crimes, not isolated incidents but crimes committed on a day-to-day basis with the full awareness of officers at all levels of command."
Please note; Having served in country and discharged in '73 after 6 years active and reserve, my discharge was signed by the Honorable John Chaffee, SECNAV.
Kerry's 4 month stint in VN was concurrent (briefly) with mine. His discharge was signed by John Lehman, Reagan's SECNAV. Kerry's legal issues with the Navy and the delay in processing his discharge remain undisclosed. However. it is known Kerry took advantage of Carter's blanket pardon for draft dodgers, war protesters and deserters.
Bring this to trial! I'm getting out my checkbook to assist the VVLF and heading to the hardware store for a brush and yellow paint.

This part really stinks re Kerry's behavior after and maybe during his short tour of Nam and his late discharge. His refusal to turn his records over to full disclosure stink of illegal stuff.
