The STEPFORD Candidates

The STEPFORD CANDIDATES
By Jenni Vinson Trejo
October 19, 2006

Do you remember the old “Stepford Wives” movie? It was recently remade with Nicole Kidman. The premise of that movie was that the town’s men wanted to have perfect wives so they concocted a way to scientifically alter their wives, erasing all their personal and physical flaws, turning them into subservient, model women.

What a deal? Who could possibly be opposed to having a community of perfect people?

The Democrats have had some trouble winning elections and they sat around and thought that they could scientifically manufacture candidates. Forget the fact that their brand of Liberalism has gone too far for the taste of the American people. Forget the fact that the American people do not want to be lead by Liberals. Forget the fact that our elections are ruled by laws. Forget all that! The Liberal Democrat mantra—is “WIN AT ALL COSTS!” In this case, they just needed to stretch some wool over their selection of candidates and sell them to America as kindly sheep.

I am on record, both stated and written, as having said on numerous occasions that very few Democrats are Ultra Liberal, but the Leadership of the Party is almost completely Ultra Liberal. This faction has high-jacked the party. Even Liberal Joe Lieberman got himself excommunicated from the Democratic Leadership for daring to try to be moderate.

Hillary ran for the Senate seat vacated by Patrick Moynihan of New York even though she didn’t live in the State. Liberals always know what is best for those they seek to represent, so little things like rules and laws don’t keep them from doing what they have to do so they can “be there for the little people”.

New York, a mecca for Ultra Liberals, accepted Hillary, she won the seat and their play worked. The Liberal Democrats solution to our problem of not voting for them? —take a play from the Clintons and mass produce it. So, this season’s game plan was to find or create STEPFORD Candidates to run for various seats across the country.

The criteria for consideration into the STEPFORD group was: 1. The candidate had to be a man. Well Geez, how Liberal is that? Considering that women serve in the military with distinction as men do, you would think the Democrats would have been all for equal opportunity for the sexes.

2. The candidate had to be conventionally handsome. They wanted to sell America sex appeal. That’s how we buy our toothpaste, so why not vote the same way?

3. The candidate had to have a military record. He needed to say he was for the military but against the war in Iraq. Considering that the vast majority of men and women in the military are for the war in Iraq, it would mean that the candidate would have to forsake the band of brothers he left behind to do wage the war amidst the tumultuous national climate created by the wavering Liberals whose camp he joined.

4. No previous political experience was necessary. There was little need for the candidate to think out his own ideology. One would be provided as would a list of talking points like the one found on my webpage: www.jvteditorials.com.

5. The candidate needed to be willing to relocate to an area the Democrats wanted to challenge. You see what we are being told is that Democrats have found candidates like Hillary Rodham Clinton whose ability to lead surpasses the needs for boundaries as set forth by rules regarding our nations’ election process.

We don’t need to worry that these STEPFORD candidates have not really our neighbors nor have they served this community in the past. They are Liberal and that, in and of it self, gaurantees that they are capable of caring. These STEPFORD Candidates are Gorgeous and they Care! What more do we want out of our representatives at the state house or in Washington?

6. Candidates with Hispanic last names were briskly rushed to the front of the line. Being Hispanic is chic these days. Democrats tried to bank on the “A” Factor. Anyone whose last name ends in a vowel is a commodity. (I knew if we waited long enough we’d finally come into style!)

The STEPFORD Candidates are being promised the moon. It’s like their players in a new Reality show. One of them may well be on his way to becoming the President of the Unites States.

We have a STEPFORD candidate, Juan Garcia, running for a State Representative seat here in South Texas. Money has been funneled into his campaign coffers from all over the country. He doesn’t answer many ideological questions. His handlers do all that for him. If any thing gets sticky, his handlers rail the questioner with staunch reminders of his military service. Just like the STEPFORDs in the movie, it’s hard to tell what’s real or how much of him has been fabricated.

Our STEPFORD candidate is Handsome, He Cares and He Surfs-- that's pretty much his platform. Oh yea-- and he served in the military but is against the war in Iraq.

To Juan Garcia I’d say, “ You seem to be a nice guy. I wish you had opted to come into public service through a more honest, genuine and conventional means. Maybe if you stay and live around us for a while we can get to know you and then we can help you launch your political career.

Right now, you’re asking this community to take a major gamble in believing that you will honor us and really represent us. Corpus Christi has plans for growth and we need a solid team working in the same direction to get where our vision is taking us. It isn’t fair that you would use this office to catapult yourself to a higher office as you already told us you will do. You’ll go into this office as a lame duck and accomplish nothing for us. This community deserves better than that”.

STEPFORD Candidates are on ballots all across this country and it seems as though they and their Liberal Democrat handlers are perfectly willing to step ON this and other communities to get these candidates over to what they think are higher grounds. They can’t possibly love (defined as—wanting what is for best for it) the area they seek to represent if they are so willing to step over it.

Kerry DID have a "Stepford Wife" quality about him. Totally scripted, no evidence of thinking, fake smile, "tall, dark, & handsome" but eerily unnatural looking (especially during the fake orange tan period), getting confused about what to say when confronted with facts. Maybe Teresa used some of her immense wealth to get him Stepfordized into her notion of the ideal President/husband, to prop up her fantasy ambition of becoming "First Lady".

Wesley Clark was another, IMO. He had qualifications, such as supposedly nearly starting WWIII.

Dead on about these robots.

Hope they don't turn on their handlers and kill them--like the robots that were in the movie Westworld.

Remember the sequel Futureworld? It appears to be becoming a reality...when all the world's leaders are fakes and controlled by some old guy sitting in silhouette with a stogie (i.e. the Devil himself).

Kerry is missing one quality..."handsome". John Edwards, on-the-other-hand, is a perfect match since he "out-Stepforded" Kerry. Edward is the quintessential Stepforder.
