I take the WSJ but here in the woods, it comes by mail, at about 2pm. I'm thinking about subscribing by email but would miss the Saturday edition which I like to read on Sunday morning.

""Whatever ails our industry got to Boston first," says Ken Chandler, editor of the rival newspaper, the Boston Herald. "It's the Internet."

Well then, isn't it time you blamed Al Gore? After all, he invented this disaster...

"Get rid of the bias and restore credibility. "

It's that simple. They just don't get it.

I believe that there are more Slimes sold the Boston area than in Brooklyn.

Why buy the Glob when the antics of the Slimes are more entertaining?

That's just it.

The Glob prints what it wants voters to hear, so it helps drive the stupidity of the vote, which in turn,
leads to unbelievable corruption and high taxes.

The Glob is stuck in the desire for a utopia, with them at the top, course, regardless of the record of failure,
and the cost of lives, avoidable misery, and destruction it has never failed to wreak.

Mack the Knife is Back!:

Oh, the shark, babe, has such teeth, dear
And it shows them pearly white
Just a jackknife has old MacHeath, babe
And he keeps it … ah … out of sight.

Ya know when that shark bites, with his teeth, babe
Scarlet billows start to spread
Fancy gloves, though, wears old MacHeath, babe
So there’s nevah, nevah a trace of red.

Now on the sidewalk … uuh, huh … whoo … sunny mornin’ … uuh, huh
Lies a body just oozin' life … eeek!
And someone’s sneakin' ‘round the corner
Could that someone be Mack the Knife?

A-there's a tugboat … huh, huh, huh … down by the river don’tcha know
Where a cement bag’s just a'droopin' on down
Oh, that cement is just, it's there for the weight, dear
Five'll get ya ten old Macky’s back in town.

Now, d'ja hear ‘bout Louie Miller? He disappeared, babe
After drawin' out all his hard-earned cash
And now MacHeath spends just like a sailor
Could it be our boy's done somethin' rash?

Now … Jenny Diver … ho, ho … yeah … Sukey Tawdry
Ooh … Miss Lotte Lenya and old Lucy Brown
Oh, the line forms on the right, babe
Now that Macky’s back in town.

Aah … I said Jenny Diver … whoa … Sukey Tawdry
Look out to Miss Lotte Lenya and old Lucy Brown
Yes, that line forms on the right, babe
Now that Macky’s back in town …

Look out … old Macky is back!!

"I am from the South so I can't quite figure this out. This paper seems to print what those voters in MA want to hear, based on the people they have put in office. So why is the paper not doing well? Or does the paper have to rely on right wing readers too?"

Even in Gay maggot infested Boston which has re elected Killer Kennedy and the Gay Predator Barney Frank for decades, there are about 30% of the voters/readers who voted for GW.

The Globus Hystericas has turned off that potential market.

Last but not least, they don't understand the reality of my tagline.

I live in a heavily Democrat/liberal region, and even though we have both a liberal paper and a conservative paper, the liberal paper still has considerable circulation among even more conservative readers, including yours truly. I know the paper is flamingly liberal, but it does have a few redeeming qualities over the conservative paper to make it more appealing. That is the key. There is nothing wrong with having a paper with a liberal point of view, as long as you don't turn off everyone, including your core constituency -- the liberals -- and have something to attract even conservatives. That apparently is what the Times, the Globe and others have done. Looks like even the moonbats don't always like them.

You know, when I read that story, I really couldn't believe they would actually used Mary Jo to praise Ted Kennedy. One of the vilest pieces I ever read.

I cancelled by Globe subscription after that outrageous May, 2004 article running internet porn purporting to be photos of GIs raping Iraqi women.

Never looked back.

It is an elitist, condescending and frequently untruthful newspaper

Former Governor Ed King won a libel suit against them when he showed "actual malice" - the jury found they printed false and defamatory statements about him which they knew, or reasonably should have known to be false.

Did Bobby Darin write that song? Makes you wonder what the composer was thinking about.

Get rid of the bias and restore credibility

That, and the economic model of newspapers is unsustainable. If the newspapers were smart, they'd go completely digital. The New York Times has an excellent website, BTW. All the money that's wasted on ink, labor, transportation, carriers....it's totally outdated and that's part of the reason they're going under.

More and more newspapers are going online, but I think as long as the low-tech generation is around, they will still have to have paper editions.
