Perhaps, Mike Tyson should travel the country with all the GOP Candidates.

I love this result, but SurveyUSA has produced some wacky polls recently, also for House seats. When I see their work product, I usually find myself saying that things are either not that good (for the GOP) or not that dismal. They seem to be indiscriminate in their wild swings.

I've heard that Steele loves little puppy dogs.

Great news, from a Baltimore native, I will be watching after I leave the polls. I am a poll judge so I'll get home just in time when the results are coming in.

I wonder if this poll was before or after Steny Hoyer's "slavish" comments.

Maryland really is as Democratic as the polls suggest....

He's pulling in over a quarter of the Black vote right now, which will kill Cardin. In Md, its always whites who run for the big offices in the Democrat PArty, and on top of that Cardin is Jewish, without too many Blacks among his "circle" (some tension there)

Not to mention the fact that he did a credit check on Steele and got slapped for it, and Steele is running a very clever campaign, talking about sweeping out Washington insiders like Cardin who's been a rep forever. So we'll see..theres some backlash to the heavy handed Cardin ways, including his bud Steny Hoyer saying that Steele was "slavish" to the Republican party, et al... Cardin couldnt be more inept, IMO

You know, in fairness, Hoyer's remark probably was very innocently made. "Slavish" is a valid English word that is race-neutral. It just shows how people tend to look for even the slightest offense.

A guy like Steele could turn the entire political landscape on its head. That's scares the crap out of the libs.

Cool. This could yet work out for Steele. Let's all donate some $$$ to Steele. I hear he's got some really good adds he's running.

More optimistic now about NJ and MD. A little less so about OH. The deal in OH is that we have a majority of GOP who are mad as hell at DeWine for either ANWR or the judges or guns. And apparently the guy is just dense. What will really sell it is if people get in that booth and, as it seems they will, vote a straight ticket and then look at that hole next to the "U.S. Senate" race. How many will actually leave that blank?

Stay tuned.

American blacks are in an unique position right now. They alone, could determine the outcome of American History, and save themselves and the western world. A shift from the democrats to the republicans right now would be the most earth shaking event since the second world war.

"The LS poll rule says that Steele is actually moving into the "safe" column."

And just how would "Your Modesty" explain that?

There are sometimes (like when I see polls like this) that I wished SurveyUSA was a better polling company that could be trusted.

But at least this means that Steele is not out of it yet.

I'm looking forward to the poll on November 7th.

Exactly.

It's a liberal state with a large Black population.

To win you must do well within that community.

If Steele is getting a quarter of that community, which is by and FAR more than any other GOP'er has ever gotten in the state, then he's almost virtually going to win if that holds.

The LS rule says that the polls are so phenomenally skewed to oversample Dems, you must add 5 to the GOP and subtract 5 from the Dems. By this measure, Steele is getting into "safe" territory.

I was called for this poll last night (Channel 2). The questions were good and seemed to be unbiased (at least to me).
