He's... ("Bloomin" Idiot, that is) from Meffa Mass. The thugs have been doing this kind of thing for "drill" since he was a kid.
Guess that's what happens to Liberals who forget their roots!

The employee was driving the 2001 Lexus in Hackensack, N.J.
I can't believe that Bloomberg has a 5 year old car, unless they are classics. A billionaire drives or is driven around in very expensive cars.
Ditto to the FRer that stated what idiot drives around with their passenger door unlocked. I drive around with ALL my doors locked. With the crazies in the world, it's better safe than sorry.

Exactly - he might be like a number of wealthy people that I know. *They* either have a classic, a car they really love, or something maybe two or three years old. However, their hand-me-down cars go to their kids (if they're not totally spoiled) and/or the staff to run errands with.
On the other hand, some people didn't get to be rich by being idiots; those people will continue to drive the same old (or an older-than-usual) car even after they're stupendously wealthy. Sam Walton was like that.

Dude....ALWAYS lock the doors in NJ/NY. I have driven rentals there many times. Union City, Jersey City, East Orange. Why this guy rolled the window down, nobody knows. Inside job. Yes, I can relate. I live in a bad neighborhood, too. A real bad one. In fact, getting my car stolen and being punched in the face would probably be a good day. I make sure the vehicle is locked, the armor plating is at least at B level, my flak jacket is securely fastened at the sides and that the drivers are armed to the teeth.

Is it still that bad?

Hmmm...your state is number 12, mine is number 4 (even with Newark and Camden which your state does not have).
Check it out. Better hit the books...

The Smartest State? - You've got to be kidding me. I guess everyone in NH will be packing up to move to NJ. Hah! If they did that I'd really believe they lack smarts. You can keep your books.

Bloomberg would take guns away from honest citizens, so only carjackers and other crooks would have guns.

I can't believe that Bloomberg has a 5 year old car, unless they are classics. A billionaire drives or is driven around in very expensive cars. Not necessarily.
Warren Buffett: Net Worth: $42 billion.......Vehicles Owned: 2001 Lincoln Town Car Signature Series
Steven Ballmer: Net Worth: $13.6 billion ........... Vehicles Owned: 1998 Lincoln Continental
Jim Walton: Net Worth: $15.9 billion ......... Vehicles Owned: 2002 Dodge Dakota Pickup); 2000 Acura Integra; 1998 Mitsubishi Montero Sport; 1999 Chevrolet Silverado Pickup; 1959 Cadillac
IKEA founder Ingvar Kamprad, ranked 4th richest man in the world, drives a 15-year-old car ........Asked to confirm he drove an old Volvo, he said: "She is nearly new, just 15 years old, or something like that."
When you are that rich, proudly advertising the fact that you can afford something than can be bought for a mere $350,000 would be something left to those who are still insecure about their status or those who, like Donald Trump and the Queen of England, have to advertise their status for a living.
