Neither the truth, nor logic, nor grammar are a defence in Al Britain.
It's a conditional expression of self defense.
Where did you get your edumacation, the NY SLime School of Misinformation?
Methinks you should take a refresher course in "comprehension" or learn how to read.
This poor patriot's sign read: "Kill all Muslims who threaten us and our way of life. Enoch Powell was right."
Like the Lame Stream Media, you "conveniently" left our the preposition "WHO TRHEATEN US AND OUR WAY OF LIFE."
It did not simply state as you INCORECTLY assert: "KILL ALL MUSLIMS!" You, friend, need to "get a life!!!" PS Read my tag.
"Although I agree in principle that incitement of violence is against the law, he was specific in inciting the violence against those who promise violence to us. I would pray that western culture could be inciting to anything prior to our capitulation."
A quote that I found on your home page is appropriate to the topic at hand -- as follows.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without bloodshed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves."
-- Winston Churchill
10/16/2006 - The White House
PRESIDENT BUSH: "Good evening and "Ramadan Karim." Welcome to the White House. Laura and I are really glad you're here. This is the sixth year that we have been pleased to host an Iftaar at the White House. We're honored to be with you and once again we're honored to pay tribute to the month of Ramadan."
"Islam is a religion that brings hope and comfort to more than a billion people around the world. It has transcended racial and ethnic divisions. It has given birth to a rich culture of learning and literature and science. And tonight we honor the traditions of a great faith by hosting the Iftaar here at the White House."
"For Muslims in America and around the world, Ramadan is a special time of prayer and fasting, contemplation of God's greatness, and charity and service to those in need. And for people of all faiths, it is a good time to reflect on the values we hold in common, including love of family, gratitude to God, the importance of community, and a commitment to tolerance and religious freedom."
"America is a land of many faiths, and we welcome and honor the Muslim faith in our nation. Our society is enriched by our Muslim citizens. Your commitment to your faith reminds us all of the precious gift of religious freedom in our country. America is a more hopeful nation because of the talents and generosity and compassion of our Muslim citizens."
FreeRepublic Thread: President Bush Attends Iftaar Dinner at the White House
Official White House Article: President Bush Attends Iftaar Dinner at the White House (provided for verification) also: Ramadan 2006 (2005 2004 2003 2002 also available)
If this hasn't brought on a case of warm fuzzies yet, keep in mind this is the president that is hesitant to mention of Christ or Christians during Christmas and Easter on the official White House web site. President Bush also remained absolutely silent about the two news journalists, one an American, Steve Centanni, abducted by Muslims in Gaza and forced to convert to Islam on camera or die. He likewise offered no support to Pope Benedict XVI when the Pope quoted a medieval transcript that mentioned this practice in the wake of the kidnappings and forced conversions.
Then wander over to the recent US Supreme Court decision this month to not hear the case involving the teaching of Muslim prayers and religion in public schools. Keep in mind the Christian religion is not afforded this accommodation in public schools.
This is war...and it is a war of cultures and civilization with these extreme Islamics. They have defined it that way, and then backed up that definition with their own muderous actions again, and again, and again. If someone threatens my nation and way of life, who wants to either destroy it and kill me (which these extreme Islamic terrorists do) or wants to subjugate me to their religion and law...then that it what it comes down to, killing them until they either beg for unconditional surrender or until they are not around any more to threaten us in this way.
We had to come to that same mentality in World War II against the Nazis and the IMperial Japanese...if this getrs worse, I expect we will come to that mentality again...and make no mistake, it is a ciovilized mentality under those conditions, becuase it preserves civilization against murderous, tyranical enemies who would destroy it.
"If you live in a civilized country, try acting like it..."
Is peaceful protest not civilized?
Maybe they should call it, Not-So-Great Britain.
That's why I say to fight all such legislation tooth and nail if you want to be best prepared for islamic terrorists, or other invaders or criminals.
One of his neighbours, a [cowardly] retired Army officer with 23 years service, was pissing his knickers with fear.
good point
It said more than that... "that threaten" us or our way of life. It seems to be a mild way of saying jihadis and/or Islamists.
Vote Republican.
The neighbor is a stone-cold coward, but he's probably right about the sign bringing down the wrath of jihad on them. Then what do they do?
When you live in a country where the people willingly surrendered their guns to the government, I guess you have more concerns about such things since you have no means to defend yourself.
Bloody coward.
I know they don't have a First Amendment in Britian, but whatever form of free speech they have is meaningless if it only protects speech that doesn't "cause someone distress".
No Bill of Rights?.
England has had a Bill of Rights since 1688 and Scotland since 1689...
Get your facts straight.
