Okay, not a lot of thought into this list, but I think I was looking for a "who did this" factor along with a Wow factor for the time in history that the structure was built. Here goes (no particular order):

Chichen Itza Aztec Site
Colosseum - Rome
Easter Island Statues
Great Wall
Pyramids of Giza
Stonehenge
Taj Majal

Well, I've been to Stonehenge, and I've been to the Western Wall in Jerusalem, including some of the Wall that is now below ground level.

Person in the background is showing the
rest of the group the extent of a single stone.

Stonehenge, while interesting, is a joke by comparison.

This is easy. First, you gotta realize that UNESCO is involved. Then, it's a piece of cake.

The Picks and the reasons for them.

1. The Alhambra, Spain. Built by the ROP.
2. Chichen Itza, built by the Glorious Inhabitants of the Bronze Continent. (Currently "occupied" by the Anglo Devil.)
3. Great Wall, China. Read Mao's Little Red Book to understand. (Hint: Cultural Marxism)
4. St. Basil's -- but only from a political perspective; and only a Soviet one.
5. Petra, because it's in an Arab state.
6. The Taj Mahal, because it's pretty (don't tell anyone it's really a tomb!)
Machu Picchu: Our Glorious Bronze Bretheren of a slightly different location.
7. Tibuktu, because it's in Africa. Everything the West does adversely affects Africa.
8. Angkor Wat, Cambodia: A nod to Pol Pot, Hero of the People.
9. Easter Island Statues: Made by Noble Indigenous Peoples (who cut down all the trees, but that's another story).
10. Kyomizu Temple. It's in KYOTO!

See? Wasn't that easy?

>>>The whole list...<<<

I am astonished the Hoover Dam and the Golden Gate Bridge are not on the list.

4 Chichen Itza Aztec site, Yucatan, Mexico

Cichen Itza was made by the Mayans, not the Aztecs.

These, I have seen. I consider Chichen Itza to be most "wondrous", even though it is awfully primitive compared to what was being done in Europe at the time.

2 Alhambra, Granada, Spain
4 Chichen Itza Aztec site, Yucatan, Mexico
5 Christ the Redeemer, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
6 Colosseum, Rome
8 Eiffel Tower, Paris
14 Neuschwanstein Castle, Fussen, Germany
17 Statue of Liberty, New York

Where are the friggin' cathedrals?! St. Peters, for one, maybe the one in Toledo (Spain). La Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. The stained glass at Saint Chappelle in Paris is wondrous. The cathedral in a mosque in Cordoba in incredible.

And if you want to include modern wonders like the Sydney Opera House, I'd add the VLA Building on Cape Canaveral, as well as the Panama Canal. I'm also a big fan of the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao Spain

The following I intend to see in the next 5-10 years:
1 Acropolis, Athens, Greece
3 Angkor Wat temple, Cambodia
7 Easter Island Statues, Chile
9 Great Wall, China
10 Hagia Sophia church, Istanbul, Turkey
13 Machu Picchu, Peru
15 Petra ancient city, Jordan
16 Pyramids of Giza, Egypt
18 Stonehenge, Amesbury, United Kingdom
19 Sydney Opera House, Australia
20 Taj Mahal, Agra, India

Great Wall of China gets my vote.

The only man-made object that can be seen clearly from space.

Thanks for the full list.

I wouldn't mind visiting most of these, not one bit. Not optimistic about my chances though.

However, I don't know that I'd pick any of them if I had to pick the Seven Wonders.

I'd throw in the Chaco Canyon cliff dwellings, but I guess listing anything in the US would give the euroweenies hives. Yeah, they listed the Statue of Liberty, but she's French.
