I'm gonna step into the middle of this little $h!+ storm...

Just moved to New Mexico. I've got a choice between Heather Wilson, a very moderate R (somewhat lefty) or Patricia Madrid, a corrupt liberal D.

I disagree a lot with Wilson. I disagree more with Madrid.

Should I not vote for Wilson and allow Madrid to win to teach the GOP a lesson?

I understand that the D's will impeach Bush. I also understand that just the hearings will be a distraction and put our country in danger. I also know that the D's will raise taxes and put our economic recovery in the crapper.

This election is not just about electing Republicans (who aren't thrilling me lately). It is about defeating Democrats.

I will work in the future to make the Republican party more to my liking in Primaries, where that kind of thing has its place. Once the general election is here, yeah, I'm gonna hold my nose and vote R.

If you don't, and the D's win, I will change my tag line to:

"It is Protagoras's fault!"

Good, that silly lady promised to leave. :^}

Number one, it's not about teaching anyone a lesson, and I never advocated that. Number two, is your "R" a liberal or a criminal? If so, and you can live with the idea that power is more important than fixing the problems of a corrupt, liberal person contaminating your beloved party (not to mention the whole country), then go ahead and vote for a liberal or a criminal.

As for me, I skip that race. Or write in your name. I vote for people I want to serve, and I NEVER EVER vote for liberals. But that's just me. I don't want liberals in power, no matter what party they run under.

Another point, I have never advocated voting third party for others although I sometimes do myself. And I have never advocated not voting at all, although I understand why people don't. And my comments have been addressed to STRAIGHT TICKET imbecility, nothing else. People here pretend that if you don't vote for a criminal, liberal person for city council, or even Governor, that you are responsible for the ruination of the country. That concept is past goofy.

And I'll bet plenty that no matter who is elected Bush will not be impeached or even that it will be seriously attempted. But that is beside the point.

Straight ticket voting is for the lazy, and it shouldn't even be a freakin option. Let the lazy morons push all the buttons individually if they take the option of voting for people they know nothing about.
