I don't know about you, but I have had it up to and including my A$$ with all the whining that is going on around here about what the Republicans have or have not done to deserve your vote this November.. I know for sure that if we had the Democrats in power the past 10 years it would be a hell of a lot worse, with or without President Bush.. I'm not entirely happy about many things that are happening, (fill in the blank, with garbage on the other threads), but I am thrilled that I am not paying as much in taxes as I would have with (fill in the blank with any jackass in the Democrat leadership).. And I am grateful as all get out, that we are not ducking terrorist bombs in my neighborhood, or anywhere else in these United States..I think I can say without any reservations that Roberts and Alito are a whole lot better than anyone that Leaky Leahy or Turban Durbin would have approved.. And what about our military? Would we still have one if congress wasn't in our control?
Give me a friggin break, I haven't found one single person that makes all of my dreams come true, (even Nicole Kidman, I think) why should I expect more than a half dozen out of 435 Congressgritters to even agree with me on most of what I want done in our country.. Hell, I don't even get that in my own home with blood of my blood that even look like me!
So if it's all the same with you.. and YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE, I'm going to wake up on November 7th and make a great big special breakfast, with all the trimmin's and invite all of my kids and as many neighbors as I think I can bribe with food and feed them until they say Uncle Sam and drive their fat a$$es to the polls and get them to pull the lever for everyone with an R after their name to insure that I can sleep peacefully that night and hopefully ever night thereafter..
That's my plan, don't be a damned fool and mess up my vote with some stupid idea that will cancel mine out, just to prove that you can be as dumb as you sound!
Its critical the Repubs hang onto those Committee seats.
If you have to choose between a damn RINO and a Dem, hold your nose and vote for the RINO.
If it looked like the election was a give-away, we could be selective and vote out the RINO herd. But we need them now. We gat them later in the primaries.
Elect a RINO and stick it to Pelosi and Reid.
Some people aren't bright enough to know that wasting their vote or not voting is the same thing as voting for the enemy.
And it's really unfortunate when 'not bright' comes in the same package as 'arrogance.'
Deadly combination, IMO.......I guess we should feel sorry for him. It's gotta be a rough life for the poor fellow.....

save recipe....must have recipe....mine....mine....all mine
One of my favorite recipes from my "bachelor pad" days:
Start boiling some water for angel hair pasta.
Dice & Saute some garlic in olive oil (the more cloves the better, IMHO). Use a big, wide pan for this.
Toss in a small bottle of capers, stir, saute some more.
Toss in a can or two of anchovies, saute some more.
(Add some hot peppers, if you like)
When the pasta reaches "al dente", strain & add to the other mix. Toss.
Serve with parmesan cheese and some grated hot peppers.
Not sure about the correlation between bachelorhood and the fish & pasta breath.
btw - your post is right on!
"fish & pasta breath" s/b "fish & garlic breath".
As Dave Barry would say, sounds like a great name for a rock band.
Piss off a liberal, take a friend to the poll with you.. Maybe even 2, 16, 84..or 572 :)
Hell ya.. :)
Authentic Chicken Cacciatore
1) Season the chicken pieces with 1 teaspoon of each salt and pepper. Dredge the chicken pieces in the flour to coat lightly. Shake off additional flour.
2) In a large heavy sauté pan, heat the oil over a medium-high flame. Add the chicken pieces to the pan and sauté just until brown, about 5 minutes per side.
Sauté it in 2 batches if too crowded. Transfer the chicken to a plate and set aside.
3) Add the bell peppers, onion and garlic to the same pan and sauté over medium heat until the onion is tender, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. 4) Add the wine and simmer until reduced by half, about 3 minutes. Add the tomatoes with their juice, broth, capers and oregano.
5) Return the chicken pieces to the pan and turn them to coat in the sauce. Bring the sauce to a simmer. Continue simmering over medium-low heat until the chicken is just cooked through, about 30 minutes for the breast pieces, and 20 minutes for the thighs.
Transfer the chicken to a platter. If necessary, continue boiling the sauce until it thickens slightly, about 3-5 minutes.
Spoon off any excess fat from atop the sauce. Spoon the sauce over the chicken, then sprinkle with the basil and serve.
