Good question. Here is what I see happening. It's early Saturday afternoon and the season is winter. At hundreds of Wal-Marts nationwide, dark skinned people wearing coats walk in, find the greatest concentration of people in the store - that would be the checkout area - doff the coat revealing a bomb vest and summarily yank a lanyard. The bomb vest goes off killing the terrorist and several dozen people in the checkout area. Multiply this by, say, 400 stores and you have a major event.

This is only one of many possibilities, of course. I believe that we are in for a serious season of terrorism, and particularly if we find ourselves another Democratic administration and do a wholesale retreat from Iraq and Afghanistan. Read "retreat" as "cut and run."

I agree. With most of your scenario--the muzzies are not innovators, for the most part they go with what works.
Car bombs and bomb belts will be the delivery mechanism, but they need maximum shock value--that doesnt come from DC or LA, that comes in the heartland. Imagine your scenario (GOD FORBID) at the Mall of Am in MN. Day after Thanksgiving.

Only one problem, there'd be no living muslims left in this nation that night, because the retribution would be a bi*ch..Bush's peaceful religion hijacked rhetoric would not keep the masses at bay...

I was thinking more along the lines of a football game where there would be many people and even if a small area was targeted the mass hysteria would be overwhelming. I also hate the NJ turnpike where all the oil refineries and power plants are. Hitting that area would be dangerous. There are so many Muslims in Jersey City that I would think you might find some nutcases to do it. When the trade center was hit the 1st time in 1993 it was Sheik Omar Abdel-Rahman, who preached at mosques in Brooklyn and Jersey City, and was sentenced to life imprisonment for masterminding the bombing. I think the NY NJ area would be an area they would go for.

The next attack:

Reinforced cargo containers or large heavy duty construction dumpsters modified to act as "War wagons". Gun ports,reinforced sides and all the ammo you want, rockets grenades use your imagination
Car bombs on the freeway to shut it down both ways. Empty lane in one direction and massive traffic jam in the other. Pull the war wagon down the empty side and open fire on the jammed side. Do this in both directions after the traffic has backed up and you could kill thousands. Have motorcycles to give yourself a chance of escape. Do this in 15 or 20 major cities at the same time. Who is getting on the freeway to go to work tomorrow?? Not me. Massive financial impact.
I thought of this as soon as I had to give up the old "Blow the levies in New Orleans during a hurricane" plan. Mother nature took care of that one.
How about use your suitcase nuke to blow apart the Hawaiian Island that is ready to slide half of it into the ocean. Create a sunami that hits the west coast. Happened before. A bit of a stretch I'll admit. but it would have a huge payoff.
Overpressure your hose outlet in your backyard and pump poison into the water supply. Gets rid of that old dilution problem. Make you doubt something as basic as tap water.
