If you do not vote, then do not complain
vanity | 10/16/06 | Cobra64

I've been reading so many posts from FReepers who said they are not going to vote or will vote for a third party to "show Republicans that I don't support their actions."

Quite frankly, I am very disappointed in many of the actions of Republicans who are supposed to be Conservative. By nature, I am more of a supporter of the Constitution Party because the United States Constitution is what makes America unique. All else is secondary.

Regardless, when I think about the larger issue, America's security, I cannot bring myself not to vote for the Republicn party. The Constitution party will never win. My objective is more focussed on getting more Republicans to think more about the Constitution and forget socialism, and political correctness.

It is obvious that the Democrats' hatred of our President is so deep that they do not love our countyr.

Kerry, Pelosi, Murtha are exemplary of so many Democrats.

If you don't vote... Don't complain when the Democrats decide to pull another Viet Nam and commit us to defeat.

They just want to embolden our enemies, causing more death to our military, and more attempts like 9-11.

If Democrats take over Congress, those here who did not vote have themselves to thank.

I think there are trolls or suicidal anti-voters.

We are in the ground war now, this is a war for the will to win.

I am fighting to win.

We can win in November.

But we have to fight to win!

I do not want to lose against today's Democrat Party!

And I can't believe there's anyone here who wants today's Democrats in control of Congress!

I guess I was confused. It must've been another that voted for amnesty and lots and lots of spending.

You're not confused, and neither are we.

I grew up on a farm, and can smell RATs from a mile away. So can a lot of other Freepers.

Your post is that of a RAT.

LOL!, yeah, and in those 3 months he's left hundreds of smelly clues of his true nature.

I didn't know Republicans were required to be in lock-step. There's a lot of that going on around here. Anyone with a different opinion is called names - it's so mature - and so like the Democrats. When they can't come up with intelligent discourse, the insults start. Apparently, it's the same here.

"- account suspended!

Now that was odd. I thought most OBL liberal-leaning posters around here got to say whatever they wanted and only the conservatives got banned. This is a pleasant surprise!- "

My grandmother went to her deathbed proudly proclaiming she was a democrat and that Roosevelt was the best president ever. We just smiled and nodded, because we knew Grandmother had NEVER voted a single time in her life.
If she had voted she would have voted dem, but she never did. I wish all dems voted just like my grandmother.

Well, when I read, "Regardless, when I think about the larger issue, America's security, I cannot bring myself not to vote for the Republican party" the inference was there.

We don't differ a whit concerning our beliefs, hopes, and fears for "The Republic". But the "they may be bad, but they are better than the alternative is beginning to wear thin, even if it is, unfortunately, the truth.

I was not attempting to argue with you.

Just venting.

God Bless,

I vote... I also occasionally withhold my vote. and regardless of whether I vote or withhold my vote, I will continue to complain.

Present me with a choice between 2 people, both of whom want to ban the private ownership of firearms (my pet issue) and I'll not only withhold my vote, but I will give money to the people in both parties who WILL support my issue, in the hope that the next time around I'll get someone who takes my concerns seriously.

And all the while I will complain.

It's the worst kind of juvenile nonsense to assume that because I have withheld my vote from two bad choices, I lose my right to comment on he government. My taxes are still collected by force, my life is still intruded upon.

But in a presidential race between Mike Bloomberg, and Hillary Clinton, I will not vote, because I've already lost.

Hey, no problem brother. We are going through very trying times. The Reublican party is very disappointing to me. Especially on ILLEGALs and SPENDING. Those two topics are number one on my "hit parade.

And, like you, my weapons collection is very dear to my heart. I'm an NRA Lifer since 1991, have my CCW and a SASS member.

Regards, Cobra (SASS: DeadEye Davis)
