If you are going to force businesses and landlords to enforce immigration laws than you should pay them a salary instead of punishing them. After all slavery has been abolished in the US. You can't force someone to work for free.

If you really want to get rid of illegal aliens, you should pay a bounty to anyone who turns one in. The illegals would be gone in a matter of weeks.

I realize I've been wickedly conspiring to reduce competition in
the growth bidness of crime by asking for the current laws to
be enforced regarding immigration and border security.

And if there is a field that needs an injection of young, energetic
workers utilizing new technology (like machetes), it's the crime biz.

Machetes have never killed innocent bystanders a couple a blocks

You have that right. They are illegal invaders. The sooner we can officially adopt that title for the, the sooner we can face the reality of that name.

This is one case where our government has let us down. I can see how an illegal who stays under the radar, keeps his proverbial nose clean, and just "does his work" could stick around 17 years. But this murderer had a criminal record. In my opinion, all government officials responsible for deportation of such criminals that failed to act should be held accountable. I would love to see some cocky prosecutor file charges of aiding and abetting or even accoplice charges against those officials. They made a concious decision to not deport this criminal. That decision led to enabling him to commit murder.
