Reaction to the death of former Rep. Gerry Studds, D-Mass.:
"Gerry's leadership changed Massachusetts forever and we'll never forget him. His work on behalf of our fishing industry and the protection of our waters has guided the fishing industry into the future and ensured that generations to come will have the opportunity to love and learn from the sea. He was a steward of the oceans."
- U.S. Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass.

This person COMMITTED actual physical crimes, yet listen to the praise the Democrats/liberals have for him--and supposedly THE MARK FOLEY SCANDAL (cue deep-voiced ominous announcer) is 'spiraling' out of control for the Republicans and will cause them to lose all the elections in November???
Puh--leeeeeeze.

Now, now. It's easy to blast some guy after he dies, and maybe he even deserves it, but it's the kind of low rent BS a dem would pull; we shouldn't imitate them.

His work on behalf of our fishing industry and the protection of our waters has guided the fishing industry into the future and ensured that generations to come will have the opportunity to love and learn from the sea. He was a steward of the oceans." He just loved seamen. And especially rear admirals.

Too funny. Studds picked the wrong time to die. It forced the Democrats to show what hypocrites they are.

Isn't that the truth. A couple of days ago most Americans had no idea who he was, much less the crime he committed while in Congress.

Nobody now will bring up the physical crimes; turning his back to the House, or the hissyfit press conferences in which he said that homosexual pederasty was a private affair.
His passing now is a blessing to the democrats- the facts are now buried with his bones.

I'm sure he did. With his history, he can hardly point a finger at someone else's transgressions.
