Yeah. 'Course, the question is "what do you win?"
Run Giuliani at the top of the ticket in 2008 and the Pubbies win CA. That's the only kind of pubbie that can win in the People's Republic of Kalifornia these days. Freepers may not like it, but it's political reality.
Well, I'm voting for Mountjoy. I guess it's just that we all know he doesn't stand much of a chance against Di Fi.
HUH?
Sure enough... instead of showing Mountjoy's pic as an opponent of Feinstein, they show the ugly mug of Barbara Boxer with a caption of "Next Election: 2010."

ping.
lol
Personally, I think exchanging the entire Republican platform for California's electoral votes (maybe) is a very bad deal.
Arnold did NOT EVER endorse Feinstein.
GOP has a good chance to not only retain the governorship, but pick up statewide offices. Feinstein was unbeatable in this election, but that doesn't apply to other races.
CA GOP, very intelligently is focusing on races where the R candidate can win, instead of bashing their head against a brick wall, just because it feels so good, when you stop.
Angelides could dash Dems' hopes California's Dems might not fare well

"Yet, oddly enough, in California it may be Democrats who have the most reason to fear Election Day. Not only does their gubernatorial candidate, Phil Angelides, trail Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger heavily in the polls, but there is growing concern that if Angelides does not inspire Democrats to vote, low party turnout could seal the fate of other vulnerable Democrats and even left-leaning ballot propositions.
Recent polls have shown Republicans have a shot at winning a number of "down-ballot" races, including secretary of state, insurance commissionerand even lieutenant governor, where each candidate has put himself in position to take advantage of any Schwarzenegger coattail effect.
Nonetheless, Democrats remain confident that the national tide will rescue Angelides and other statewide candidates. Democrats would not necessarily come out to vote for Angelides, but against Republicans. And, they hope, disillusioned Republicans may stay home. "
In the latest Datamar poll (Acrobat PDF), dated today, Feinstein is ahead of Mountjoy 50.2 to 39.3.
Doesn't say much for the so-called mainstream.
We'll be leaving CA as soon as we can. Braindead mainstream be damned.
Arnold has more support than DiFi and Angelides has less support than Mountjoy. That's almost enough to say, "Stick a fork in it!"
You're right. It's as if the Cal GOP is working for the DEMS!
This causes my blood pressure to boil. I KNOW Dick and his wife personally!!! Dick is everything we would need in California to lead us especially concerning our " illegal immigration". FORGET the Biblical Conservative.... Yes, he IS that, but my goodness, he served the State Senate very well and his " religious views" certainly didn't interfer in his office as state senator...
You are so right EternalVigilance!!! Mountjoy is standing for truth and not a bit afraid of this " Giant" Feinstein. We need to get behind him!! Shame on Arnold for not helping the Republican candidate!!!!
None of this is important. That seat was out of reach. Stay focused. Get your hotel reservations made so you can volunteer for the 72 hr push to GOTV in winnable House districts.
We'll be leaving CA as soon as we can. Braindead mainstream be damned.
Yep.... you and a LOT of others.
