AAAs Meet the Press Thoughts

We saw the real Amy Klobuchar today. The one that when backed into a corner with her own words, claws and scratches the eyes out of people who are simply quoting her. She became noticeably bothered when quotes were read to her.
1) She said that there was no social security for illegals in the Amnesty border bill.
FACT: It was in there, and then some.
Refundable tax credits, Medicaid, Social Security, Medicare, Food Stamps, Child Nutrition funding, Compensation for error, Supplemental Security Income, Unemployment Insurance, and Student loans. CBO (For more see yesterdays posts, 1 & 2.)
2) She completely dodges the question regarding the 5700 minnesota families who make more than $200,000.
First, she didnt change the amount. I noticed a while back that there were versions. One was $366,000 and one was $200,000. Obviously she has been misleading people that she would only raise it on those making more than $366,000. Russert said it more than once, the $200,000 amount. When she did finally start to speak after how she feels about raising taxes on 5700 Minnesotans families, she went into how it was part of her plan. Billions here. Billions there. etc etc.
3) Klobuchar displayed her unreadiness for being a US Senator. She clearly cant handle having to just plain say yes or no. When casting votes in Congress, you do not have the luxury to only vote for half of the final version.
4) Iraq, shes all over the board on this one. She doesnt even know what her stance is anymore. She wants out, she wants to win, but doesnt want more troops and wants them out. She wants to put troops in neighboring countries so they can go back in to Iraq if things go badly.
In my mind Amy Klobuchar really hurt herself today. She seemed like a typical liberal who can sit back and throw partisan bombs all day, but the second their own words are read on air before them, they fall apart.
More to come soon
.
I watched that segment, she isn't a very good candidate. The Republican guy was much better. Her suggestion that the Senate give orders to the military was astounding in a candidate for the US Senate. But unless somebody points out how breathtakingly stupid that suggestion was, it won't her.
