Ministers 'are Islamophobic'
The Sunday Times ^ | October 15, 2006 | Abul Taher

Posted on 10/15/2006 3:24:54 AM PDT by MadIvan

MUSLIM leaders have accused ministers of “stigmatising an entire community” and launching a “relentless barrage” against Islamic Britons.

Muhammad Abdul Bari, secretary-general of the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB), has written to Ruth Kelly, the communities secretary, accusing her of pandering to an “Islamophobic” agenda.

The letter follows Kelly’s announcement last week that the government was cutting funding and official ties with the MCB, which until now has been the main body representing British Muslims. One senior Muslim source said: “The government is pandering to a far-right neocon agenda which is promoting Islamophobia.”

The MCB says in the letter: “In recent months there has been a drip-feed of ministerial statements stigmatising an entire community. We have seen ministers’ tours and even legislation being proposed on the premise that ‘mosques are a problem’.”

The council is understood to be particularly concerned by comments by Jack Straw, the Commons leader, about Muslim women wearing full veils.

They are also concerned by the level of stop-and-search by police of Muslim suspects.

According to a poll by Yougov, Straw’s popularity has jumped 15 percentage points since he made his comments.

Yes, let's blame it on the ministers rather than putting the blame and responsibility where it belongs...on the followers of islam who kill infidels in the NAME of allah!

Just like the liberals who have to blame someone else instead of taking responsibility for their own failures.

Thanks for the ping FD!

BTW, it's great to see Straw's popularity has gone up since he has started to stand up to the islamic community!

How does one determine whether a person wearing a full Burka and veil with a eye hole slot approximately one inch by three inches, is a woman or a cross dressing muslim dude?

It is spooky as hell when you come into close proximity to one of those. It's like a visit to the twilight zone.

How long will it be before criminals throw away their ski masks and use Burkas as their work clothes?

OK everyone, enough of titillating me with the Islamophobic chatter. Anyone have a link on membership to the rather noble Islamophobic Organization? I want in! Sign me up! I want full membership including participation in the Islamophobic Crusade, and primarily due to Muslim activities that force it.

Thanks for the ping Jan.

I read at a Minneapolis Star Tribune form all tonight. Out of the discussion on Islam, I came out with two great terms to counter "Islamophobia." One was "Islamophile." The other was "factophobe." :)

Hey, I pinged you to that thread yesterday (reply #8). We'll have a pong game going at this rate. LOL

I do have a couple good leads to religious scholars that look promising. I've been seeking such scholars that have spent their lifetime immersed in religious studies to authoritatively identify the misrepresentation in the Koran regarding people and events in the earlier works of the Torah and Christian Bible.

The purpose is to arm everyone, regardless of religious persuasion, even atheists, and especially Muslims, with information that disproves the validity of Islam. The initial objective will be to arrest the spread of Islam with the ultimate goal being to bring about an end of Islam.

The sword of truth will prevail.

Pong back to you...

I agree that exposing the lie of islam is the answer. Since islam is not allowed to be debated, criticized or even rejected by Muslims,it makes it all the more difficult to shine the light of truth on it.

One would almost expect them to yell out...
"I AM NOT AN ANIMAL! I AM A HUMAN BEING!"

Then act like it!

Exposing Islam as a lie is one part of the answer. I've been trying to open another front too. It just so happened I received a letter from my Representative in Congress today regarding the other front.

Beginning with the Taft Supreme Court ruling in 1925, and continuing with subsequent Supreme Court ruling in the 1940's, 60's and to present day, the First Amendment provision "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion", has been extended to the many states, and thus local government also. The basis for the court decisions is the Fourteenth Amendment. The Fourteenth Amendment has numerous clauses that have struck at the core of both the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

Just as it required the Twenty-first Amendment to strike down the Eighteenth Amendment, it will require an amendment to restore state and local rights to establish religion. Once reinstated Islam can be banned by states or providing the individual state constitutions do not prohibit it, local communities.

My communication with my Representative in Congress is ongoing. I am contemplating running for Congress in two years. This issue would be high on my list of priorities.

I think maybe the Islamic radicals also goosestep, but I'm not sure. If not, they will sooner or later. There's just something about that goosestep that goes with regimes and dictators. It's stupid as it is quite a large amount of waste of energy (and calories) when it's thousands of forces marching - but if they want to waste energy goosestepping, far be it from me to tell them. The Allies marched sensibly during WWII, not wasting huge amounts of energy on a big show, except where the show counted.

Amen! I do believe that dictatorships use the goose step. Why, I don't know. Maybe they think it looks powerful or something, but nobody said these people were very bright anyway. Argghh. Love, Mxxx
