Later, President Bush delivered a short statement about North Korea to the press on the South Lawn of the White House before he returned to Camp David.
Enjoy your Saturday visit to Sanity Island
Some men never think of ringing to say they have arrived
ILW ... you're baaad ...LOL. Now why would it be jonny's fault because you didn't read YOUR ping? Young lady .. you're at the Pentagon now ... high echelon peoples category .. ;). Just curious .. was there NO mention of it at work on Friday at the "shop?"
Well, actually, I'm not at the Pentagon, I'm in Rosslyn. And, yes, several people went to watch them practice but I was playing receptionist so I didn't get to go. And for some reason, I didn't connect the practice and the memorial dedication. I was too busy trying to finish my Con Law homework to pay attention.
And it was Jonny's fault cuz HE didn't tell me about the ceremony ;) *shrugs* It's always someone else's fault.
Oh .. a bit o' the Beltway mantra there has crept in, I see? LOL. At least it wasn't B***'s fault. ;)
LOL. Yes that thought annoys me as well. :)
Never! ;) It can be Jonny's fault, it can be Hillary's fault, it can be Pelosi's fault...
I think we raised the same boy in two different places, mystery. :)
That's right, blame the sub
:)
Picture brings back memories, Jon's aircraft was broken and they did not leave today, scheduled to leave tom. same time.
Tell Eric I said hello, and maybe we will meet in the same place again next year.
We are very proud of Jon, and we appreciate all the support for Jon and Mystery and I as we go through this next year.
Thank You all.
Your toasters are more than just toasters, Snugs. This one you made for Mystery proves that (again). Great job :)
I'll never forget how the support right here on the Dose (and a couple of other great threads) kept me ALIVE during those months. We will BE here for you while Jon is gone. You can count on that!
Eric's unit is disbanding and he's very interested in a unit that will be deploying in about a year.
He really wants to go back, Mike. And it would be cool if you two could meet up when you're both over there.
(He's going to be a staff sergeant most likely in a matter of weeks. He didn't want to go back as a private. ;)
Well then CONGRATULATIONS are in order on the Promotion, He is going to make an outstanding leader for any unit he transfers to, is he going to stay Army Reserve or has he spoke to any Guard Recruiters, they may know which units are possibly going to deploy.
I think Jon was a little disappointed about the cancellation, but he is pretty nervous about the flight, so now he has another whole day to worry, as do we.
He's also thinking about the SS or the FBI, but he's definitely re-upping in the Army. He loves it.
As for the delay...........that's hard on everyone. I have vivid memories of those calls from Ft. Campbell. We're going tomorrow...........we're still here, but we're going tomorrow...........we're still here, but I think we're going tomorrow..........
VERY unnerving! Prayers for you all!
Awww...poor baby...
;)
I don't know about the Ohio Guard, The Illinois Guard has Special Forces Unit In Chicago.
The Unit he transferred to is just splitting up, so he'll probably go with one of the possibilities there.
The Special Ops thing will be after (Lord willing) he graduates from college..........though the deployment, unfortunately, will be before he's entirely done........sigh..........
It's all still up in the air.
We're praying for a whole mob of angels to surround him!
