MANCHESTER, N.H., Oct. 14 (UPI) -- U.S. Sen. John Kerry, in a speech at a Democratic fundraiser in New Hampshire, accused the Bush administration of deceiving the public about Iraq.
The Massachusetts senator, who is considering running for the presidency again in 2008, called the Iraq war "a disgrace" and said Bush has adopted a "stand still and lose" policy, the Boston Globe reported.
"They tell us we're making progress in Iraq and that there is no civil war," Kerry said. "That is a lie. There is a civil war and it is costing American and Iraqi lives every single day and we must change course in Iraq."
As the Democratic presidential candidate in 2004, Kerry disappointed many in his own party by refusing to take a clear stand on the war. He defended his own vote in support of the president while saying that Bush invaded Iraq too quickly.
On Thursday, Bush accused Kerry of adopting a "cut and run" policy. Kerry responded by saying that Bush has "cut and run" in Afghanistan.
It would be nice if Kerry came up with some original material once in a while.
And where's that "plan" he foghorned about incessantly?
Oh that's right, he was only going to share it if elected. :eyeroll:
Imagine if we had a press that actually, you know, asked questions, and didn't just write DNC press releases?
There's a civil war in Iraq like you were sent to Cambodia on Christmas 1968 by Nixon.
Question, Mr. Kerry: In this civil war in Iraq, which side wears the grey uniforms, and which side wears the blue?
Kerry knows that his words encourage the terrorists. That's why he says those things. If it were only for the American people to hear, he wouldn't be saying these things. He's hoping that the US will pull out, Iraq will be the new home of Al Qaeda and sometime between 2008 there will be another attack in the US which will help him win the next election.
"The Massachusetts senator, who is considering running for the presidency again in 2008, called the Iraq war "a disgrace" and....."
Nothing new from this POS. I'm sure "he is with the troops" though. What frigging loser.
Kerry is nothing more then a TROLL
We defeated Sadam and his army in record time.
We handed over soveriegnty on time.
We helped the Iraqis condict a free election for their interim leaders.
We have seen the Iraqis develop their own constitution.
We have seen the Iraqis vote freely for their constittuion.
We have seen the Iraqis elect their own government according to their constitution.
We have seen the Iraqis now use their government to adopt a more federal forom of governance.
All of this while our forces have trained, equiped and turned over more and more responsibility to an increasing new Iraqi military. All of this in the face of abject terrorist and Islamic extremist fighting and threats, bullyings, killings, and terror to try and stop it, while our forces and the free Iraqis have fought and bled to stop them...whicc BTW, based on the above enumerated prog4ress, we have been successful in doing.
No Kerry, under you and your ilk none of these achievements would have been accomplished and tens of millions would still languish under tyranny and the tens of thousands of terrorists streaming into Iraq to fight our forces there, would be doing all in their power to come here.
If you and your ilk were given power, we would see all of this progress retroraded and be in more danger ourselves. sorry, but that dog won't hunt.
Great post. Not exactly "standing still" is it?
I loathe John Kerry with every fiber of my being.
To what?! Accusing our military of murdering women and children?
LT - keep your eye on him - ping
Only in nightmares!
Wasn't that Kerry's '04 campaign strategy?
Senator Purple Heart to his shrink:
"I just feel like everybody hates me."
Shrink:
"Now, now, everybody does not hate you.
Everybody hasn't met you yet!"
great flashback article, cracks me up

The tactics toward this end have changed innumerable times as dictated by circumstances.
If Kerry knows of a better policy than helping Iraq govern and defend itself, I'd sure love to hear it.
Why is it so many empty suits just love hearing themselves drone on and on?
