How is he doing? Will he win?
That was fantastic! I tried to post a comment because some idiot made some nasty comments, in fact most were ugly. but it didn't seem to want it. It just sat there doing nothing, like most democrats. But I really hope he makes it to congress.
"How is he doing? Will he win?"
Looks like he will and I will have the honor of voting for him. He has a great personality. I believe he will serve us well.
NC-13 is not regarded as competitive. It was created (gerrymandered) by Democrat Brad Miller, who has held the seat from the beginning. I've had a tough time finding anything as far as polling, Mason-Dixon or anybody else. I suspect, in this atmosphere of gay scandal and outrage over illegal immigration, that Vernon Robinson will surprise a few people. But, can he win? I don't know, but conventional wisdom says not.
Wish he was in my district running against David Price.
"How is he doing? Will he win?"
He will probably lose. Its a pretty safe district for Dems and was created to be such. IIRC the em won by 17% last time.
We need a few surprises and these districts where there is no polling gives us an advantage. Polls give people time to react. I think we are going to see some surprises on election day and it isn't going to be Democrats winning the slate. They will pick up some ground but I doubt America has the stomach to give them power to ruin our economy again with higher taxes, the celebration of public perverts, and the denigration of our nation and our soldiers.
Democrat attempts to "nationalize" the midterms might just backfire in this district, though. NC Dims are an interesting lot as a group, tending to cross over for Republican presidential candidates, while still loving to pull the (D) lever at the state level.
A "throw the bums out" mentality could be setting in. Nobody looks especially good in this atmosphere. The majority does not benefit in that sort of situation.
If the Democrats win it will be throw the bums in. The economy is great, the deficit has been cut in half and taxes are low. What can't people understand about that? The primary mistake the President and Republicans have made is they have allowed the clarity that got them elected to become blurred by a constant Democrat barrage and the President's constant mincing of words in front of the media. If I were the President I'd bomb all of North Korea's silos not because it is before an election but because it is the only real response. Why is it that Republicans have been so cowed as to not be able to take the decisive action that often differentiates them from their opponents? What does the President have to lose? Nothing. Karl Rove and company seem to revel in having close nail biting elections when they should be sailing forward and conquering new ground. Don't they understand propaganda? Jesus, the Democrats and the media spew hateful false stuff everyday. We have thousands of hours of their own words to lay them bare and what do the Republicans do? They mince words on the border, they play the nice guy with the fags and try to act like they aren't conservative.
ditto that
