Well, that pretty much prevents anyone from bringing up his scandal to paint the dems as hypocrites. I can hear it now--"How dare you drag a dead man's name through the mud?!" At this point, the R's couldn't buy a break even if Jack Abramoff was still open for business.

...and the unanswered question might be, does Gerry's congressional pension, or a portion thereof, now go to his husband? How about social security, does the husband have his own, or does he get a cut of Gerry's?

Some fool on CNN just said the two incidents are different because in the Stubbs case there were no allegations of a cover up by (who else) the Speaker of the House. He had to mention that Stubbs claimed he was being singled out and it was purely gay bashing. I was dizzy from all the spinning.

I wonder if Congress will honor him by naming the dorm...In North Carolina there is a large public building named after a convicted pedophile. A talk radio host has been talking about it and wants to get the building renamed.

He'd been hospitalized after sustaining head injuries from an accident while walking his dog. And I thought I was clumsy.

What kind of dog was he walking?

It just sounds wrong.Poll after poll here in Massachusetts indicate that homosexual "marriage" would lose if placed on the ballot. That's why every leftist group, and certain powerful state legislators, are doing their best to keep it off the ballot.

I agree. I was hoping that the pubs would finally grow some and run ads about how the dems would have handled the Foley mess if they were in charge.
Timing is very suspcious...walking his dog?

He is survived by his husband, Dean Hara. I guess that means that Studds was the "Catcher" in this relationship.

I wonder if the partner died, if they would have said Studds was his wife?

I don't know about the Congressional pension, but DOMA covers Social Security. His spouse won't get any money.

Did he leave any children...
