Our president met with the President's Management Council. Fact Sheet: The President's Management Agenda: Making Government More Effective

He signed the SAFE Port Act in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building.

He met with members of the 57th Bomb Wing from World War II, and with members of the United States Air Force Thunderbirds, an air demonstration squadron.

Another bill signing today: Bush signed S-3728 into law, the North Korea Nonproliferation Act of 2006.

And the Dow-Jones Industrial Average rose to another record close today to mark the third straight week of triple-digit increases in the blue chip index. The final closing figure was 11,960.51. And according to Fox News, consumer confidence is rising sharply in October.

Sheesh, what happened today? I logged on and found all kinds of Freepmail about the Dose.

Hi lysie. He amazes me with how much he crams into one workday. He must have an amazing, well-disciplined (and devoted) staff to keep things running so smoothly.

One of the best displays of it is how quickly he overcame algore's attempts to lock him out of the Oval Office, followed by dems locking him out of the building where president-elects start setting up their new administration prior to January 20.

snugs stepped in (before I saw Mike's SOS) and had started to do her third Dose of the week. When I saw the FRmails, I said I'd post it, and asked if she'd mail me what she had already done. And she did. She's putting up another thread tonight. God bless her.
