AP: Air America Radio Files Chapter 11 Friday October 13, 10:37 am ET Liberal Talk Radio Network Air America Files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Protection
NEW YORK (AP) -- Air America Radio, a liberal talk and news radio network, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, a network official told the AP. The network had denied rumors just a month ago that it would file for bankruptcy, but on Friday Air America said negotiations with a creditor from the company's early days had broken down.
The network will stay on the air while it resolves issues with its creditors, spokeswoman Jaime Horn told the Associated Press. A formal announcement was expected to be made later Friday.
Randi Rhodes show, it was a play on the fact that all she said over and over was "Worst President Ever."

Hmm... I see nothing on The Smoking Gun, and I just checked the bankruptcy filings and nothing is posted yet. Can't wait to see the schedule of creditors. How much do you want to bet that the Airheads owe taxes to the Feds and/or State?

As far as music I have my Ipod. And for radio I listen to local sports radio or Hannity. I also like a local Chicago show that does lean left but not horribly so.

"A Bronx charity will pay the city back $625,000 that had been intended for children and the elderly but was improperly lent to Air America Radio, a network known for its liberal programming and hosts like Al Franken.
The settlement, announced yesterday by the city’s Department of Investigation, is the latest but probably not the final chapter in an investigation that began last year.
"The state attorney general’s office is continuing to look into the misuse of the funds, and the case has been transferred from its charities bureau to the criminal prosecutions bureau, two people close to the investigation said yesterday. City investigators found that the charity, based in Co-op City and formerly known as the Gloria Wise Boys and Girls Club, lent $875,000 to Air America Radio. At the city’s request, the network put the money into an escrow account while the investigation continued."
Trash talk is the best description of what is offered on Air America in my area---trash from Jon Elliott, trash from Laura Flanders (made worse by her false Brit accent)and the worst trash from some woman called Miller (nothing can equal her middle-school style trash-talk)and some juvenile guy who calls himself Scooter.
And they are all on the same talking points---"d--n those Republicans", "Bush is an evil b-----d" , "I hate those people", etc. They are our own home-grown hate-mongers.
