I object to the racist Chocolate city comments on this thread, Its obvious to me that those evil white people who blew up the Levees are responsible for this latest crime spree.
The crimes committed in this city are a result of those who have returned having to work hard to keep up the reputation of New Orleans.It isnt easy keeping up the crime spree when half your criminals are in other cities committing crimes. If New Orleans could only get back all their residents from Houston those who returned early wouldnt have to work so hard. Maybe some from Atlanta could return too, that might help. Remember this though, they cant be in two places at once. If they return to New Orleans crime will go down in Houston and Atlanta.
First reaction when I saw the headline before the words "New Orleans": I was certain the story would be about Baghdad.
Have we given NO a date certain when the US will pull out? Why not? How many years has this been going on, and now instead of getting better it's getting WORSE? We must fire Rumsfeld immediately. Then cut and run.
Afterwards, all will be well in the Crescent City. Murtha told me so.
Now, now Detroit ain't that bad. As a matter of fact I'm headin down N.O. way next week for a family reunion of sorts. It will be interesting to see La Ville again. We will be coming in over Lake Ponchartrain so I guess I will see the worst of the flood damage first.
