Muslim cabbies refusing the blind and drinkers
MUSLIM taxi drivers are refusing to carry blind passengers with their guide dogs or anyone carrying alcohol.

And there have been several complaints that drivers refuse to allow passengers to carry sealed bottles of alcohol.

One Muslim driver, Imran, said yesterday the guide dog issue was difficult for him.
"I don't refuse to take people, but it's hard for me because my religion tells me I should not go near dogs," he said.
Drivers who refused to carry blind people with their dogs attended remedial classes at Guide Dogs Victoria, Mr Sach said.
"They are taught why blind people need dogs," Mr Sach said.
"The Victorian Taxi Association has included a program in their taxi driver training program."
Guide Dogs Victoria spokeswoman Holly Marquette said blind people regularly reported taxi drivers refusing to carry them because of their dogs.
"It's sad and quite upsetting," Ms Marquette said. "We try to work with new drivers to educate them about their responsibilities and the needs and rights of blind people.
"We explain that the dog is clean, well trained, won't go near them and will stay in the foot well with the client.
"But it's a high turnover industry and it's hard to capture everyone."
Ms Marquette said there was a legal requirement for taxi drivers, shops, restaurants, hotels and supermarkets to accept guide dogs.
Opposition transport spokesman Terry Mulder said the guide dog issue would exacerbate the taxi industry's flagging respect in the community.

Mr Sach said the problem was often reversed and that Muslim drivers suffered discrimination from passengers who abused them for being "terrorists".
"Muslims are good people and the community has to realise that the days of the white Anglo-Saxon Protestant are well and truly over," he said.

This business has got to stop. I say we mount mass actions at the airports, hundreds of "customers" each carrying a bottle of wine, and gum up the taxis. Make it hurt. For good measure we should all wear kippahs and Mohammed-turban-bomb T-shirts.

How about this? When you get a cab, ask the driver if he is a Muzzle. If so, tell him you refuse to ride with him. If he asks why, tell him he discriminates against blind people and people who are carrying a legal substance.
If you don't ride their cabs, they won't be in the business very long.

I thought the Aussie's screened their applications for citizenship. They used to. Maybe it's time to start again. Oh, that's not P.C. is it?

I wondered if other countries (besides France, Holland, Belgium..) were seeing this, too. It seems curious to me, because in places like NYC, Muslim drivers have apparently not (so far) had this aversion.

AdvertisementTHE Treasurer, Peter Costello, has criticised "confused, mushy, misguided multiculturalism" and told Muslim immigrants to leave violent cultural baggage at the door.
His criticism of Muslims who do not respect Australian values appears designed to present a conservative social image to repair his damaged leadership campaign.
"Before entering a mosque visitors are asked to take off their shoes," he told the Sydney Institute last night. "This is a sign of respect. If you have a strong objection to walking in your socks, don't enter the mosque.
"Before becoming an Australian you will be asked to subscribe to certain values. If you have strong objections to those values, don't come to Australia."
Mr Costello said those who broke the compact should be stripped of citizenship, if another country would take them.
His speech contrasted with an earlier warm welcome to immigrants by the Prime Minister.
"I thank all of those who weren't born in this country for coming here and making a contribution to Australia," John Howard told a Woolworths function yesterday, also in Sydney. "We are the least discriminatory country in the world, in my view."
Mr Costello's speech was his first on a matter outside the Treasury portfolio since he renounced the right to challenge Mr Howard for the leadership. Embattled by the Robert Gerard tax-avoidance affair, he said on December 7: "I will be a candidate for the leadership if there is a vacancy, but there is no vacancy." Until then, Mr Costello's supporters had encouraged a belief that he would challenge Mr Howard before this year's budget.
Last night he said Australia was an immigrant country whose success was built on respect for political and cultural institutions.
He attacked Muslim Australians who supported violence or did not recognise the primacy of Australian law, such as those who supported violent protests against blasphemous cartoons of the prophet Muhammad
"I do not like putrid representations like Piss Christ. I do not think galleries should show them. But I do recognise they should be able to practise their offensive taste without fear of violence or a riot," he said.
The speech was framed as a response to politicians who encouraged immigrants to maintain their old country's culture but neglected to ask them to respect the values of Australia.
Among those values he listed were economic opportunity, security, democracy, personal freedom, the physical environment and "strong physical and social infrastructure". Those who did not pass the values test should "stay away", lest Australia face a cultural "twilight zone" among second-generation immigrants.
Eligible Australians did not include terrorists. "Terrorists and those who support them do not acknowledge the rights and liberties of others - the right to live without being maimed, the right to live without being bombed - and as such they forfeit the right to join in Australian citizenship."

As Just A Nobody suggested, this development appears to be co-ordinated. Depends upon the clerics who issue these 'edicts' and how many followers attend their mosques.
Perhaps the NYC cab companies do not have a large number of muslim drivers...yet. Isn't the predominant cabbie in NYC an African-American?
I'm in Oz, pardon my ignorance, I only have what I see in movies to go on...but I can't imagine the average New Yorker (and his dog!) putting up with this sort of shiite.
I wonder if the Muslim's will allow Christmas presents in their cabs. How far will this madness be allowed to go.

In Australia, a delegation of muslims, under the guise of a fact finding tour of an abbatoir, reported on their website THAT INFIDELS EAT CARRION!

Seems someone realized that people would avoid taking that cab even if they DIDN'T have any alcohol with them.
Seems the drivers can discriminate, but riders shouldn't be able to.
BTW, has anyone found out if the cabbies know they are carrying alcohol in their gas tank? At least 10%. AND, the cabbies are filling it in themselves!
Someone needs to impress that fact upon all Liberal airheads before the Islamic wackos remove their heads altogether.
